Because I disagree with Reddit’s policies on moderation and account management. If Signal removes E2EE, then I’ll leave. If they close, there are other options out there and I can switch. There is literally no advantage to switching to a less useful (to me) tool because of conspiracy theories and something something federation.

I don’t think people are stupid at all. But asking them to replace a trustworthy app isn’t a great sell.

Quicksy offers E2EE as optional v. automatic, seems to lack a number of features like video calling.
