S&P Global Mobility (via Automotive News) reports that Tesla EV registrations (a proxy for sales) for April dropped 16% to 39,913 registrations. Meanwhile, General Motors’ (GM) Chevrolet saw a 215% jump in EV registrations to finish in the second spot, with Ford (F) slipping to third place as sales fell 33%.
how is it only 16?!?!?! who the nazi fuck still sees a Tesla and says, “now that’s a company I should get behind.”
Tech bros
Certainly not smart ones. I’ve heard nothing actually good about these cars, except that they helped popularise electric cars
I agree it is surprisingly low. I do wonder how many red hats bought one when Elon and Trump were still dating?
It takes time for these things to play out. Its a lagging metric.
People that live in a car centric country where you cant go anywhere without one and can’t afford a new car just yet. I have a relatively new car and relatively doing well financially, but if I had to buy a new car immediately I’d probably be fucked for the rest of the year. And the fact that the resale market for Tesla is probably not that great right now you won’t get much money back by selling it. I am seeing a lot of Teslas with the logo taken off, though.
