What infighting? Bernie conceded the primary, endorsed Hilary, campaigned for her, and didn’t split the vote by running as an independent.

Bernie polled better than either Hilary or Trump. Yes, we literally could have had Bernie.

And democrats knew Hilary would lose. They put their thumbs on the primary scale thinking it would either get Hilary up or out of the top spot and it would be promotions and handjobs all around whether she won or lost.

How’s that working out for you?

And WHY do democrats suddenly find their spine enough to attack progressives who are minding their own business but can’t say boo to republicans who are destroying the country? In fact, democrats are confirming Trump’s cabinet nominees. And Schumer is literally telling the party to not do anything against republicans.

I always knew ‘moderate’ Dems were morons, but finding out that they’re accelerationists too is… I mean, it’s not mindblowing. But it’s another layer on the absurdist cake.

It’s working out like we can’t beat literal fascists because young adults are quick to parrot memes and slow to understand large organizations.

Deliberately deciding to not vote is the single stupidest move we could have made and there were many threads filled with people - still today, someone’s gonna jump in here and say how great it was to not vote - promoting it as some kind of moral requirement.

What did democrats offer in the last election? “We’re not going back”? Okay, that’s the bare minimum. “Everything’s fine, what’s your problem?” Dangerously out of touch.

Democrats have been hostile to the working class since Clinton. Maybe they should reexamine that.

I’m sorry, but in a democracy you have to earn votes. Being the lesser of two evils doesn’t just hand you an election.

          Wrong. Period.

Sure, sure. Okay well, we now return you to Fascism In Your Face, already in progress. See you in just over a year when we all fail to stop it again due to idealistic excuses.

In a democracy, the citizenry are obligated to vote according to the needs of the nation. If they fail to take this obligation seriously, inevitably, they surrender democracy to oligarchic ghouls who promise them entertaining distractions.

The increasing view of politics as reality TV entertainment is a major contributor to the fascist bullshit we find ourselves immersed in at present.

From the outside, it seems like democrats enjoy losing. They refuse to adopt progressive policies that have broad support.

No one owes democrats votes. Democrats need to earn them.

Broad support until someone actually champions them. There’s a reason even progressive ballot initiatives routinely fail, and when they succeed, rarely by what the issue alone polls.

No one owes democrats votes. Democrats need to earn them.

Oh, I’m so glad my existence has to be earned. If the blue fuckwits aren’t an entertaining enough circus, I’m so glad my fellow citizens think it’s okay to hand the country over to fascists and let them cut all the throats they want to.

Who is abandoning gay and the trans community? It isn’t progressives. Democrats have said “we can’t be the party of pronouns.”

                Sounds like a lovely group.

Okay, and? That doesn’t change the fact that the whole “Dems haven’t EARNED the non-fascist vote!” shite is telling marginalized groups their existence has to be earned.

                  Sounds like a lovely group.

Weasels are better than Nazis. But I guess they didn’t ‘earn’ the votes, so it’s a good thing the noble and wise electorate chose fascism instead. Murdering marginalized groups’ll surely teach the Dems!

If the Dems can’t learn from this, just like they couldn’t learn from Hillary’s failure or Obama’s successes, then they’re going to lose the next election too.

It’s not a matter of “deserving”, it’s a matter of PR. The only logical explanatiom for why the Dems keep throwing easy elections is that they don’t want to win.
