I’m going to guess it’s somehow referencing a “small bag of coin,” probably mentioned in some old colonial, pre-revolution case. This seems to be where they mine most of their whackadoodle.

Like if you recently got a job, and someone said ‘hell yeah, get your bag!’, that would be an endearing way of congratulating you on your new income or revenue stream, basically.

Honestly, etymylogically, it reminds me of how my white trash neighbors, when i was a kid, started calling themselves ‘wiggers’ as rap music began getting more widely popular just generally in the late 90s / 00’s.
