I’m happy when I find a fellow veteran who thinks like this. It’s appalling to me that so many of us who swore to protect the constitution voted for someone who campaigned on disregarding the constitution.

Fellow veteran on the fuck-Trump bandwagon here.

        I’ll even do one better:

Anyone on active duty who’s had the opportunity to take a shot a Trump and chosen not to has violated their oath. He isn’t just a shitty politician, he’s a domestic enemy to the US, and should be engaged by the US military the same way they engage any other enemy.

I heard that everybody who wears a MAGA hat is also a registered DNR.

      This is 100% the truth.

Lol, imagine downvoting someone who volunteered to be an army medic, just because they said a bad word about the orange Hitler and his dumb as fuck Nazi crew.

That would be a risky move I think, we would end up with the Conservatives winning the next election for sure if we did that as they would promise to stop it.

By saying they won’t be accepted as refugees anymore and will be turned around if they show up at a crossing.

Yep, we just had an election that the Liberals were lucky to win (new leader, Trump scaring people, Conservative leader seeming to be too much like Trump, conservatives ahead by 20% back in December…) but it’s a minority and could be toppled at any time with a vote from the Conservatives and another party so deciding to welcome US residents as refugees when we’re in the middle of an immigration crisis would lead to a Conservative government it’s 100% sure.

Not legal, but I could see an underground railroad forming again, for vulnerable people in the U.S. fleeing oppression.

Two weeks hiding in Canada and anyone can ask for refugee status but I’m pretty sure anyone with US citizenship would be refused

That’s definitely the case right now, but I’m wondering if that could change if the danger of remaining in the U.S. raised to the point where it couldn’t be ignored.

But like I said, there are methods which are illegal but morally defensible, too.

Honestly I would bet money that it has already formed to a degree. With countries this close culturally? Would expect there are several independent groups already. Of course they won’t advertise themselves on social media or anywhere public for that matter.

are you suggesting that someone could expect to succeed in helping detainees escape a Texan prison without everyone involved being shot dead?
