Ah, yes, the standard “I enjoy getting pulled over half a dozen times a day” sovcit license plate.

I would bet it’s 50/50 on whether a cop wants to argue or arrest someone, or ignore it because they don’t want to deal with that shit.

Couldn’t get the lights straight on my crappy trailer today, but I had to haul lumber I bought from work home. Doing the same tomorrow. Lights work, but the turn signals and brake lights are hosed. (You can easily see the truck’s working lights.)

Stressed as hell about getting pulled over, even though these yahoos won’t fuck with you unless you have a hooker strapped to the hood and a bale of marijuana in the back. (or you’re black)

And these assholes driving around with, “Fuck you pigs! Pull me over!” plates. Jesus. Why do I even care? I’m a middle-aged white guy in the South, anything goes.

So I looked it up and it appears to be a private citizen has applied and got accepted for a US DOT #. His name and address are listed, and he selected

      Private (property)

      As well as

      Priv. pass (non business)

This is basically what these people think means they no longer need license or reg or insurance. The system is actually simply for tracking commercial and transport operations that happen intrastate.

The thing is, even the businesses that get these correctly…they still need all the rest for whatever state they’re operating out of.
