Misleading headline. According to the article, Norway has done no such thing. Norwegian businesses have done no such thing. However Turkey, a NATO member and EU applicant, continues to facilitate Russian evasion of international sanctions.
Most of Hidirusta Otomotiv’s shipments to Russia consisted of Kongsberg Automotive parts it bought from other resellers, while it imported the rest directly from the Norwegian company.
Hidirusta Otomotiv did not respond to a request for comment. Kongsberg Automotive called the resale of its parts into Russia “unacceptable and contrary to our values.”
Yeah, that seems to involve a lot of effort on the side of the turkish company to disguise what they are doing. It emphasizes the need for better supply chain transparency.
I am unsure, if the Norwegian company, could, should or must have known. The headline is certainly over the top for this unclear situation. “Norwegian automotive parts sold to Russia, despite EU Sanctions” or something like that would have been more appropriate. “Norway Fed” sounds like there is strong indication of deliberate behavior on the Norwegian side.

Striking such a tone towards Norway, while being funded and thus ultimately influenced by the Trump administration seems questionable to me.
Agreed on all counts

@federalreverse@feddit.de Maybe we should start putting RFEL/RFEE in the same category as Russia Today and disallow those sources?
