Sounds like one of these “up to” scams by cable ISPs. With cable internet you are sharing a connection and it is often oversubscribed.
On a 500/500 you should in theory get 500 both ways the same time, but cheap routers or *BSD based ones with singlethread networking often struggle to reach these values in a speed test as the single speed test connection overloads the single cpu core.
The core features are already covered by git forges and foss news sites, and nearly no one wants more work like scheduling in their hobby project.
There is always a strong urge to start a new project, but your time is very likely better spend contributing to a project or reviving a useful project that got abandoned.
I don’t think such a website would see much use. Maybe better to contribute to an existing project that you are using.
Oysters are afaik somewhat more resistant to ocean acidification than other shell forming organisms…
We are currently having some stability issues due to what seems to to be a new memory leak in the latest Lemmy release, and while Lemmy itself restarts by itself, the authentication of the XMPP server that is linked to the Lemmy database needs to be manually reset each time.
I hope to have more time to troubleshoot this at the end of the month.
If you want to contribute a custom theme for us that would be awesome. It doesn’t have to be exactly like the current one, but I guess for recognizability it would be nice.

Enforcing is the wrong term, as it is a humanitarian organisation. But the International Red Cross in partnership with its Palestinian Red Crescent counterpart is very much active in documenting these violations of the Geneva convention and working together with the ICC. Of course with the world being as it is right now the impact will likely not amount to much, but they are at least trying.

They had plans for it and afaik even got a NLnet grant, but life got in the way, so it is likely not going to happen soon.

Bei bestimmten Warengruppen müsste man eventuell über Regulation nachdenken, aber bei Computerspielen gibt es wirklich genug Alternativen die man stattdessen kaufen kann.
Spielkonsolen waren schon immer ein schlechter Deal, aber wenn man das kundenfreundlich regulieren würde, würde die ganze Warengruppe (mal vom SteamDeck eventuell abgesehen) austerben da sich das nur durch Kundenabzocken als Geschäftsmodel lohnt.
Es funktioniert für mich und hat keine negativen Effekte. Jeder kann das ebenso machen.
Regulation ist in diesem speziellen Fall komplett überflüssig, da es genug Alternativen gibt und niemand gezwungen ist diese Spiele zu kaufen.
Funktioniert prima bei mir. Habe keine Spiele die wegen abgeschalteten Servern nicht mehr gehen 🤷
Gibt genügend multiplayer Spiele die es erlauben einen eigenen Server zu hosten, und schwierig ist das auch nicht.
