      No it works great. We see co-ops all the time across the globe. Humans are a naturally cooperative species.

      What clearly doesn’t work is private ownership as we can see from the current state of the world.

        I think a primary necessity for communal ownership is social accountability. The point at which it breaks down is when neglecting the common item becomes “someone elses problem” due to the group being sufficiently large.

      It’s worked for all of human history and works today all over the world. If your family aren’t monsters you’ve not only experienced it but actively participated in it and if you’re not a sociopath you should be doing it right now with your neighbors given that’s how neighborhoods function.
