Imports as a part of the grid composition over the past year: France, 7.6% Norway, 3.3% Belgium, 1.5% Denmark, 0.9% Netherlands, 0.6% You’ll notice that this all adds up to over 100%, that’s because the UK also exports 1.9% of its energy to Ireland. There’s a remaining 0.1%, which comes from pumped energy storage.
