Well, I have some difficulties seeing Hamas or even Fatah participating peacefully to a secular Palestinian government. Two states living next to each other remains the only possible solution for at least a hundreds year. But Israel needs to make concessions to Fatah if one wants a chance to have a long enough peace to starts mending the civil society.

Our modern social apparatus: education, health, police, justice… contributes about 1.4 teqCO2/person/year. Just our breathing, for a single person, emits about 350kg of CO2/year. This carbon we breath out is accounted for from our food. But you have to understand that it is the absolute minimum a living human being can emit.
Now, that leaves about 250kg eqCO2/person/year for everything else: housing, heating, leisure, traveling, clothing… if we think we need to stay under 2t eqCO2. This completely impossible.
Whereas if we were half as many, like 50 years ago, 4t/person/year still enables us to live a modern life.
While there is some truth in this, humans and AI do not make the same type of mistakes with hands.
Humans will rebuild the topological structure of the hand: 5 fingers protruding from a base, and get the proportions wrong…while the topology is credible.
AI will rebuild the image of a hand from the 2d appearance of a hand: a variable number of flesh colored, parallel stripes, and improvise from that.
While both can get it wrong, the errors are not similar.
Python is actually a good example of this: see the mess that the transition from 2.6 to 3 generated.

First because, per calorie produced, organic farming emits 12 to 40% more green house gases.

Sure, regulations such as carbon taxes are necessary to contain negative externalities, but if there’s a demand for cheap products there will be a lowest bidder that will take all market share.

Le studio de 1975 représente 69 smics mensuels de l’époque (smic de 1975 en euros courants=192euros).
Transposé à aujourd’hui, 69 smics mensuels nous donne un pouvoir d’achat immobilier de 118k euros.
Certes pas assez pour un studio Parisien, mais suffisant pour la proche couronne Est. Comme le 19eme à l’époque était un quartier pas trop huppé, dans le fond la différence avec les prix d’aujourd’hui n’est pas si flagrante. Et le studio d’aujourd’hui aux normes sera moins cher à chauffer et nettement plus confortable.
A la reflexion, c’est surtout la manière de faire qui est plus formelle et plus policée dans le monde de la science. Certes, c’est un système para-légal, mais il y a tout de même un protocole, des voies de recours. L’argumentation sur la légitimité du fichier et sa maintenance sont rigoureusement étudiés pour être compatibles avec les juridictions du monde entier.
Alors que lorsqu’on lit l’article, le groupe facebook est géré de façon haineuse et grossière, sans se soucier d’y mettre les formes nécessaires.
Comme quoi, y mettre la forme peut faire une grosse différence sur le plan éthique.
Il y a peut-être une startup à créer qui gérerai un tel fichier de mauvais payeurs, pour les locataires, mais aussi tout un tas d’escrocs en tous genre, y compris les proprios abusifs.
Le dilemme éthique est intéressant. Dans le domaine scientifique, il est considéré normal de tenir à jour des listes de chercheurs ayant commis des inconduites scientifiques. Les bannissant ainsi peu ou prou des revues et de perspectives de carrière. Ceci sans possibilité de recours légal.
