A literral fascist isn’t Hitler or Mussolini. There are criteria for determining if a movement or person is fascist. I find Eco 's checklist, which is displayed at holocaust musea, so it has some general acceptance, quite handy.
If you can’t call litteral fascists what they are there is a serious fascist problem going on.
I admit that at some point in Januari someone stated Musk was going to face serious consequences for what he did and I replied that he wasn’t unless there was an assassin willing to shoot through a toddler. I didn’t say we need to find such a person, or someone should shoot Musk or anything like that. Just implied that he wasn’t going to face any kind of consequences of any legal nature. I’d barely count that as “glorifying violence” You can see much worse statements on Reddit every day.

The cyborg, RoboCop was a good guy. But even he had programming blocking him from opposing or harming the crooks that headed the corporation that built his robotic body and they were not good guys at all. They also had the fully robotic walking tanks Ed 209, that did their bidding fully (when not experiencing bugs).
It is nice here, but many of the subs that interest me have very little traffic compared to the ones on Reddit. I do hope they grow.
I feel you man, got permabanned as well. Apparently you can not say mean things about Musk, Trump and Israel there, sooner or later it’s going to be glorifying violence, and after that they sic a report bot on you or something and you get banned for multiple breaches of the rules, which are entirely ficticious (the breaches, not the rules). Afaik fascists got me banned so they’ve got one less voice calling out their bullshit.

Aside from hurting Trans people, these things hurt women both those afab or not, and given the numbers of each group they end up hurting way, way, way more cisgender women. So every opportunity, every interview with Rowling, every comment on a tweet to her should be “What happened that made you hate women this much?”.
I mean it’s sad that she can’t love the trans, but if that was just a prrsonal dislike, ok everyone has barely rational likes and dislikes, can’t be helped. But to make that public, and then to go to these lengths, to sacrifice the safety of all women on the altar of that hate and fear, that is truly sick and sickening.
So the question is “JO, WHY DO YOU HATE WOMEN???”
Because because of her hate mongering, women are getting in trouble and often beat up for going to the bathroom, get humiliated by having to “prove” they’re “real” women to pushy agressive bigots. I fully expect one day to lose my job and end up in jail for beating up some such asshole who thinks they should humiliate my wife or daughters that way.

Well yes, I agree. My worry is indeed that funding for research is limited and our own scientists have trouble getting their work funded. It’s somewhat unfair to them bringing in the US ones and showering them in cash just to collect them. They’re not Pokémon. I’m all for more spending on research in general, it’s needed and does pay itself in the long run.

Very much so, and buys politicians to further that cause.
I do agree, but with the scientists you also need opportunities to employ them, do meaningful research, have funding for that research etc.
There certainly are needs, for example the Trump regime cancelled bird flu vaccine research and it is needed. It would be nice to add the people and what they’ve accomolished so far to our own research. But it’s not like we’ve got nothing.
No, the raging against lgbtq+ is a distraction. The people asking to be recognized, be able to marry or legally change their name and gender are usually sincere. Since their demands have no bearing whatsoever on others the general answer to these demands should have been an immediate approval. Getting people worked up so they oppose “the trans agenda” and become violent against the trans, is a distraction, and for the people who push this, the fact that real people get hurt for the fake outrage is just icing on the cake.
