Tv is mounted too low. Get a few milk crates and put that bad boy at eye level so you don’t strain your neck.
Fuck that, just get rid of the chair and sit on the floor.
Or if he wants to get fancy, get a mini-fridge to put the TV on. Then he also has somewhere to put the beer.
I was thinking he could splurge on a folding table for a little extra utility.
Just pile up some old pizza boxes for a stand.
Maybe he sit on the chair head down.
No need for milk crates, just take out all of the beer and use the carton as the stand then lean the TV against the wall. Put the chair in its lowest setting and you’re good
If the carton is too flimsy, down a couple beers and put them in the carton standing up on both sides
Beer should be closer to the chair when TV is in use
Seconded. Beer within reach of chair
I am not a man but the chair is unnecessary and possible health hazard to your neck as you’ll be looking down to stare at tv. I suggest getting an air mattress instead.
My rating is: neck pain.
Only picture in the world /r/tvtoohigh would have nothing to complain about.
If he’s committed to the chair, it’s going to be rolling around with the slightest movement when it’s just on a wooden floor like that. He should put a tasteful towel underneath it to add some friction.
Given the context, you probably meant “tasteful towel” quite literally, but I enjoy the thought of referring to all carpets as tasteful towels. 🙃
If you get a mini fridge you can put the TV on top thus solving the neck strain issue. It will also allow you to keep refreshments close and cold, thus solving the beer problem. No need to thank me.
3/10
TV needs to be higher and beer needs to be colder. While I disagree with your choice of beer, I didn’t deduct for it.
What kind of beer would you put there?
Agreed on the TV height.
At least gotta give the local brewery a chance
Right there? None. No beer of any kind should be room temp. Dark beers like stouts and black ales can be served in the mid 40’s to 50’s but most everything else is below 50.
Personally, I like Guinness and coffee stouts at the house.
But if I’m out shooting pool and planning on drinking a fair amount I’ll just get a cheap pitcher of pisswater beer like Miller light.
Yah, I hope he put it there just for the pic, then moved it to the fridge.
Okay seriously what the fuck are even you thinking bro? How can you live like this?
…you gotta put a rug or something under those casters or you’re gonna slide down the block every time you try to sit down.
9.4/10
Just get yourself a $20 folding table and you’re all set
A TV mount can be bought for less than that case of beer.
It says they moved in today. I’m guessing the place they got the beer from was closer and or easier to resolve. Maybe next week they’ll get around to it haha
That angle is gonna hurt your neck. Just get a beanbag chair
Oh man, I forgot about those days. When I got my first apartment it was a real wakeup call for how many things I had always taken for granted. Even just little things that you never had to think about before. Clothes hangers, clothing irons, wash cloths, spoons! All of those have to be purchased. I made a TV stand out of cinder blocks and a board, and then I realized I didn’t even have a TV. I bought a cat piss couch for $35 and rented a rug doctor to clean it. I found a dining room table and chairs in an alley and carried them 2 blocks home and washed them off with the hose outside. I had no electronic entertainment, and this was before smart phones, so I would sit at my table that I found in the alley, drink beer, and solve a 1000 piece puzzle. It didn’t really matter much, because I was all about socializing and partying back then. I rarely spent time at home alone. Those first few adult years are pretty cool, in a desperate and inventive sort of way.
8/10 TV should be bigger
Needs something stacked under the TV to avoid neck pain. Otherwise all is good, and I approve of the case of Belgian Moon specifically
I would put the TV on the fireplace, other than that it’s perfect
Is this is sarcasm
Or are you paid by Big Chiropractor^TM
