Horizon zero dawn. Really early in the game but I like the mechanics, gameplay, and atmosphere so far.
Oh man, you’re in for a treat. The opening is by far the weakest part of the game so if you’re already enjoying it you’re going to love it when it opens up. Scan everything you can and soak up bits of story as they are given to you. It’s a very slow burn that delivers expert pacing in revealing itself to the player.
I found myself happily mopping up all the sidequests after completion, just because the scenery was so gorgeous. Have you checked out the DLC for Forbidden West yet? Thinking of getting it before I sell the PS5
I was the exact same way. One of the first games I kept playing after the story was done, actually.

Stardew Valley Expanded. A simple life with a bit of magic.

Halls of Torment. It’s insanely addicting and I must have put about 13 hours in the first two days. It’s like if Diablo meets Binding of Isaac is the best way I can think of to describe it. Check it out if you haven’t heard of it.
Vampyr Survivor clone, but in a good/different way.
I’ve heard this before, definitely need to play that.
I’ve been going through a nasty divorce, so my tastes have gotten weird with my emotions. And I’ve been using my laptop hooked to my new 4K tv as a console, and it’s been great for a 2019 thinkpad x1 carbon.
I started replaying Life is Strange because I craved some emotion. It’s one of my favorite games and I haven’t played it since 2017, so it feels fresh.
And then I picked up the two Lego Harry Potter games on steam because I craved something innocent and fun. It’s actually a lot better than I expected.
And I’ve been playing left for dead, the original. There is a surprising amount of people playing this, and I had no problems finding people to play with. But they probably think I’m an idiot because I’m always too stoned to be playing lol.
Hope you find some catharsis in LIS, some comfort in Lego and some camaraderie in L4D.

Disco Elysium. this game has consumed my life
Me too! First time playing it after hearing a lot of good things. The story and gameplay are interesting but what really hooked me is how the game can surprise me with wild and unexpected dialog choices. I love going for whatever feels like the goofiest possible decision just to see what happens next.
I’m also playing Disco Elysium! It’s fun but so far has yet to completely grab me as it seems to have done for you.
Personally I couldn’t get into the voice acting, feels jarring and within a few minutes I’m hearing completely mispronounced words. Hard to ignore.
GBA Advance Wars… I missed it first time round, so I’m playing it through on my Miyoo Mini Plus. Absolutely perfect handheld game, ideal to grab for a quick half hour mission.
Finished FF16 recently, a great experience, but somewhat disappointed that there aren’t superbosses in the base game Now going through Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and the influence from PLvsPW cannot be underestimated
Still very much going on Tears of the Kingdom. My kids love watching me play so I’m not in any real rush to be done with it.
Plus the looks I get at t ball games when my kids are dancing around chanting about the blood moon rising are priceless.
Factorio.
Utterly, unhealthily obsessed, and no end in sight.
It’s good for me because the focus is building, with some defensive combat on the side; I’ve tried Mindustry to try to get the same time sink on my phone, and I’ve learned that I don’t like tower-defense style games; but civilization building (-like) is addictive.
Excellent game, runs like a dream on Linix. Lots of fun.
Is there anyone who’s tried Factorio who doesn’t like it? I haven’t come across a Factorio rant yet.
I love factorio, I’ve been playing it since the .13 days.
I love Factorio. Lately, I’ve been hating Factorio trains. Signals make no sense.
It took me a long time to get signals to sort-of work in factorio.
Did you learn anything you could pass on? Every “tutorial” I read or watch just keeps talking about zones, but nothing explains why trains can’t find a path to the destination when some signals are omitted.
I suspect there’s something involving signals going in the opposite direction that influence the internal logic, but that’s not explained anywhere I have found yet. I spend so much frustrating and un-fun time dicking around with the stupid trains.
Battlebit: Remastered.
Even when the game is occasionally “Spawn, Die, Revive, Die” it is surprisingly fun.
And the thing is, everyone playing it is surprised on how fun it is. The voice-chat often is full of “how is this game this fun!?!”
Large to small maps, varieties of weapons and gadgets, vehicles and destructible buildings.
I’ve been having a ton of fun playing it.
The game has so much going for it, like the building mechanic that seems very barebones compared to something like Ace of Spades is actually pretty well realised. Been using it to make stairs, stop/funnel enemy vehicles, build sniper spots etc.
Ghost of Tsushima on PS5, loving it.
God of War 2 (PS2) and Lemmings (SNES). Lemmings is as great as ever, God of War is also great.
Strangely similar body counts by end of such wildly different games.

Currently putting a lot of time into Noita. It’s the first flat screen game that has really grabbed me since I moved over to almost exclusively VR gaming in 2016!
I recently got Noita, really fun little game. I wish I could stop setting half the level on fire, though.

Started but lacking the will to boot up recently: -Diablo 4
Lately I’ve been liking less involved games as it allows me to watch videos while playing and talking to friends. Diablo 4 has been a bit of a point, as I love the old Diablo games and series but having trouble really getting into the live service version. It’s a solid game but just feels different overall. Took me extra time to beat the main story because I just kept putting it down. Dave the diver is worth the money. Great game so far and works in small plays.
