This is happens in all Juvenile and women correctional facilities. Since the US justice system has never been about rehabilitation they’ve (meaning us as a society) have never bothered to vet staff and protect those being held.
I like to think that most people are good, and then I see shit like this.
Most people are people. Reasonably good but self-interested. But even a small percentage of bad people multiplied by humanity is a huge number, particularly when self-interest overlaps with evil.
