It’s always hilarious when these “rationalist” chucklefucks point to the 1% of trans people that have regrets, and most of their regrets revolve around their family and “friends” being assholes about it.

I believe the actual figures are 3% of trans people regret transitioning, and 4% of that subset regret it for reasons apart from their friends and family being unsupportive.

So, 97% don’t regret a thing, and the relative few who do simply don’t like being constantly harassed and disparaged by their immediate community.

Exactly. So, 3 of every 100 people who transition regret it, and of those 3 people, rounding to the nearest whole person, everyone who detransitions does so because of bigots.

Imagine using that logic elsewhere, right? “10% of people with tattoos regret getting a tattoo. Ban all tattoos!!!”

Or if someone wants to be pedantic, 3 in every 2500 people regret transitioning because they essentially felt it wasn’t right for them. That’s 0.12%.

And those three people create videos and amass followings (filled with right-wing shitheads that assure them they’re so brave, Jesus would be proud, etc.) calling to stop transition care for the other 2,497 people for whom it was the correct treatment, simply by virtue of the fact that the three outliers exist.

Because as we all know, we only use treatments that work perfectly for every—oh, wait…

Elon Musk already said that the only reason he bought Twitter is because he blames Twitter on making his daughter trans (mtf) and a communist who calls for the death of billionaires. That is the only reason he purchased Twitter — to kill it.

I wonder how all the right-wing ultra-Christians who eat up Prager U square that with Dennis Prager being Jewish?

They knew Herman Cain was African-American.

That’s the way they operate. One Jew/African American agreeing with them proves that they are tolerant and open minded.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The Prager University Foundation, a conservative advocacy group, purchased a “takeover” ad on X on Thursday as part of a larger $1 million marketing campaign to promote its polarizing film “Detrans: The Dangers of Gender-Affirming Care.”

PragerU’s X takeover represents the platform’s shift toward promoting more conservative — and, critics would argue, more extreme — views after billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk purchased the platform and removed many of the policies that barred ads promoting anti-LGBTQ views or misinformation, reinstated accounts that previous Twitter management had suspended for anti-LGBTQ harassment, and shared an anti-trans video from his own account.

“We decided to pursue an X takeover because it’s a great opportunity for us to reach a massive audience on the dangers of gender affirming care given that X is one of the least censored social media platforms thanks to Elon Musk,” Strazzeri said in an emailed statement.

“This will give millions of people the opportunity to hear important stories from detransitioners themselves, many of whom have been censored and even ostracized because their lived experiences do not affirm the mainstream media’s narrative.”

Strazzeri said that, after watching “Detrans,” the organization hopes “viewers will have a better understanding of how young Americans are being manipulated by social media and medical professionals to undergo life-altering surgeries that often come with major regret.”

The documentary describes the case of Layla Jane, who alleged in an ongoing lawsuit filed in June against the Kaiser Hospital Foundation that she received hormones and a double mastectomy at 13, but doesn’t interview her.
