      He did, but I un-redacted one of the documents, and it was Epstein’s response to Musk:

      Dear Elon,

      You have been relentless in your requests, and I have run out of excuses, so I’m just going to be straight with you - you are never visiting my island. To be brutally honest, you look like a Goblin, and you are hideous on a good day. I can’t imagine what you look like naked.

      Frankly, you will frighten the girls, who are really just little kids, after all. It’s hard enough to pressure them into sex with ugly fat old men, nobody needs you prancing around naked like an obese Gollum with a bad haircut.

      I had a friend in high school start a rumor that I had gross nipples, because he wanted me to prove him wrong.

      It didn’t work, we each lost a friend, and I had people making shitty digs at me about my supposedly gross nipples.

      (FYI, if anyone is going to make the obvious joke here, advanced warning that I’ll just block you)

          Oh, yeah. I’m glad I found out, but it blew up my high school friend group up a little right as we were leaving, so as a result, I have two friends from high school, both women, less than twenty years out. I suspect that if it hadn’t happened, the shittiness of some of the guys who spread the rumor would have gone unnoticed by us long enough for them to grow out of it. That’s still not ideal, but again, I did graduate during Obama’s first term.

            I’m mid 40s and have no friends from high school. None from either uni I went to either. I have friends but also accept that friends come and go. Maybe I should try harder but I’m an only child who moved around a lot as a kid. Friends come and go and always have for me. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t struggle with loneliness.

              That’s a-okay and everyone has different habits about that. I’m bad at making friends and I have only gotten worse as time goes on, so I try to hold on to my friends. I’m still friends with 4-5 people I went to middle school with, and ~6-8 people I went to college with. We don’t hang out every day or anything, but I talk to them directly at least occasionally (I live across an ocean, so there’s not much regular contact, but we saw each other when I last visited).

              It’s okay that there isn’t anyone else from high school, but it is out of the ordinary.

        Damn, I can’t imagine how much that must’ve got into your psyche. It must’ve really worn you down, even knowing that the rumour was complete bullshit. It’s hard enough being a teenager without supposed friends creating new things to feel insecure about. I’m sorry that happened to you

    The emails I read say that they caved and sent Musk a helicopter to the island at least once. Why is the rhetoric so quickly changed to “he was never on the island even though he wanted to go”? His PR team is underrated.

      The federal US government is trying to make you believe that. There is still accountability in Europe and the individual states in the US.

      The “nothing happens” comments on help one side of this battle and it isn’t the side who needs help.

      In February 2026, newly released Epstein files revealed an email sent on Christmas Eve 2014 from Hoffman, noting “ice-cream…for the girls” and another item to “strike your funny bone for the island.”
