I’m still not convinced that one can be both a Zionist and Jewish.

Jews are not overprivileged. Just like Asians living in their Diaspora, Jews just work super hard to try and get a handle on the oppression. That’s not privilege—that’s sweat, blood, and tears.
Everyone that is not Jewish or Asian is thus lazy?
While all Peoples are unique, some are more special than others.
All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
Considering one ethnicity, one culture better or worse than all others is Racism. No one is completely defined by their background or identity. And among all pastry, you have bad cookies. Don’t discriminate.
There are many cultures, but to consider them inequal is racist. Just remember that with so many of them some inevitably have to suck though, just don’t hate them for being bad.
Yet, Jews are the only Nation not just based on practice, location, or beliefs. Jews are the only People based on an assignment. And their Divinely ordained task is to be exemplary to all of humanity. To be G^d’s[sic] ambassadors on earth, fighting for the good of everyone.
Prove it, removed. Show me god. And show me where she chose you to be special.
That means that when one says that Jews are just like everyone else, you’re a bigot.
Your previous statement is unprovable making this follow up conclusion wrong. Demanding equality of all people, both in respect and expectations, is not bigotry–elevating one group above others (even with the false justification that god told you it was okay) is definitionally bigotry.
You don’t need to look down on Jews to be Antisemitic.
You’re right, you could artificially be elevating them based on your fanfic.
When Jews say they want to be everyone’s friends and allies, that’s nice. But Gentiles better also give them respect as their teachers. Totally equalizing them is demeaning them and arrogant.
Why should all other groups of people the world over elevate your own just cause you believe they should. Again, your foundational argument–that god told you you were special–remains unproven and unprovable. To elevate your group above all others is bigotry.
The idea that Jews should be no different than Gentiles already implies opposing Jews.
It is only opposition if Jews actually are superior, which they are not. Equality from a position of power may feel like inequality, but it fundamentally is just equality.
Being against mixed marriages is racist. Two cultures in one couple enrich both partners. But many Jews marrying out helps Jews to die out. It also means going along with self-hatred as if anything non-Jewish would give a personal safe passage out of the Antisemitic danger zone. European and Arab Jews marrying each other is enough marrying out already. And that happens in Israel to an unprecedented degree. Outside of Israel, nowhere do we find such a percentage of Whites marrying non-Whites.
It seems like you couldn’t keep this part to just 14 words, could you?
Bias against homelands can hurt minorities in the Diaspora…propaganda against Israel hurts Jews in their Diaspora like no other minority.
Canaan fell over 3000 years ago. Israel is a colonial construct, not a homeland.
Zionism is to Jews what feminism is to women. Men who ‘like women but not feminists’ show they don’t like women; rather, they like being served. Jews and Gentiles who ‘like Jews but not Zionists’ show they like Jews as long as they feel scared all the time so that they can be manipulated to serve and comfort the Gentile powers to be; but not when they are independent and proud of themselves.
*sigh* No. Equality is not mandatory survitude or subjugation. It’s like actually the exact opposite of that. Those who like Jews but not Zionists recognize the equality we should all strive for and reject the harms of colonialism, the intrinsic Jewish supremacy baked into Zionist ideals, and the ongoing terror that Israel has wrought on ALL its neighbors.
Judaism laid much of the foundation of all Monotheism (One G^d[sic]), Science (One Universe), and Democracy (Equality) in the world. That’s why hatred of Jews is the ultimate ungratefulness, throwing mud on Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Einstein, and Herzl.
Zoroastrianism; We don’t know how many “universes” there are as our observations are limited to a subset of the one in which we reside, and some of our models do not rule out other universes; Democracy is not equality nor is it inherently Jewish.
I have no problem throwing mud on individuals: Abraham raped his wife’s servant (allegedly), Moses was consistently quick to anger leading him to (allegedly) disobey direct orders from god and even commit murder, Jesus started a doomsday cult that led to severe discrimination, bigotry, and hatred over the next 2 thousand years, Einstein was racist, Herzl was a Zionist (duh; also a fault I hold with this oped’s author). None of those criticism has anything to do with Jewishness because there’s nothing inherently wrong with Jewishness.
Holocaust doesn’t compare to any other genocide, Armenian included—though they are all horrific.
removed, the Armenian genocide helped define genocide. The genocide against the Jews AND OTHERS wasn’t inherently worse because it included Jews. It was bad because killing anyone for who they are is bad and killing a lot of people of similar backgrounds with intent to eradicate everyone like them is also bad.
It seems that Intersectionality was designed to promote Antisemitic. It advocates comparing oppressions and seeing how they are all interwoven.
It challenges supremacy. You conflate anti-Zionism with antisemitism so when you observe people criticising the effects of Zionism you also conflate it with criticism of you.
Because Antisemitism is so unique
It’s not
Because Jews are kept hostage by the top level of societies
They aren’t
[Jews are] blamed for all ills
Among some, though this is bigotry and not a mainstream view.
There is reason not to just regard Antisemitism as one of the forms of Racism. Jews-oppression is too specific. It’s a special bigotry.
It’s not special. It’s bog standard bigotry. Bigotry toward a specific group may hurt more if you are part of that group, but it doesn’t make it worse than bigotry toward other groups.
Fuck this guy, y’all. Not because of his background or immutable characteristics, but because his ideas are bad, wrong, and dangerous. To exalt your own ingroup above all others for any reason is wrong–it is bigotry, and criticism of that exaltation is not bigotry–it is the bare minimum, a moral obligation, and necessary to protect everyone else.
Genocide is wrong.
The Holocaust was wrong.
The Pogroms were wrong.
The Nakba was wrong.
The illegal occupation of Palestine is wrong.
The Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people as part of the illegal occupation is wrong.
From the river to the sea - Hourriya!
Thank you and sorry for your service in reading all that, I am requesting medical leave for your brain

What is this poorly written slop 🫠
Jews are not exceptionally exceptional amongst the people of the world in the way this person claims.
@DropBear @palestine@lemmy.ml @palestine@fedibird.com
Jewish people being EQUAL to the people around them is not antisemitism to me. It is the goal of Jewish emancipation, a cause I hold dearly to my heart
It is VERY bad karma for a member of a lesser caste to assert a Klezmer Brahmin is their equal
