Many moons ago I watched a documentary(?) that more-or-less followed Matt and Trey for the entire creation process of an episode, from writer’s room to air. If I remember right, they were still changing things right before they sent it off to the network just before the deadline. Sounds like they haven’t changed things much, hah.
Actually, they doubled the time between episodes to 13 days, so I’m being they had to delay so they could remove something about Charlie Kirk or something Kirk adjacent.

6 Days To Air: The Making Of South Park.
That’s the one!
*Oh shit, that’s Bill Hader in the writer’s room. Cool!

Maybe it was so they could add something about Charlie Kirk? 🤞🤞
