Personally I don’t see a way back for American democracy barring a literal revolutionary movement in the conservative base that somehow…moderates them? And that’s just not what revolutionaries do, and misaligned with the GOP’s backers want.

Hell, if we didn’t need to get the big budget passed in 45 days, they’d probably do it just to fuck with the Republicans.
