My partner and I loved ‘The Pitt’!

‘Murderbot’ is the main thing I’m watching/caring about at the moment, it has it’s final episode this coming Friday

Oh man. Well I started watching The Wire recently for the first time, and holy MOLY is that a good show. Lots of layers of moral complexity and flawed characters and smart criminals. Really loving every bit of it so far.

Almost through Season 2 of Star Wars: Andor. Andor S01 was probably my favorite Star Wars ever (and i’ve seen most of it), and Season 2 is amazing so far. Kind of similar to The Wire, actually, but focused on characters doing crime for the purpose of rebellion, instead of just trying to get money or status. This season has things to say about empires committing genocide, and that really resonates in this particular moment. Just amazing writing all around, not perfect but pretty damn close.

And like everyone: The Bear. Currently just rewatching Season 3, and this is the weakest of the first 3 seasons, but it’s still just really good TV. Funny, witty, intense, and every shot is visually-stunning. The show reminds you that family and community is what we need to hold each other up, and I’m really loving that rn personally.

My partner really loves The Pitt! What are you feeling about it? Were you someone that watched ER?

Season 2 of Star Wars: Andor

I haven’t made it through Clone Wars. Does Andor depend on having seen any of the other bon movie franchises?

Not at all! If you have seen the original 6 Star Wars movies, you will understand every important reference in the show. There are always easter eggs like any big franchise show or movie, but almost nothing that actually adds to your understanding of the plot. If you haven’t seen Rogue One yet, I highly recommend saving it and watching it after finishing the show, as the show is all of the events leading up to the beginning of Rogue One.

Unfortunately, I saw Rogue One. It wasn’t one of my favorite movies in the franchise.

Andor is one of the finest shows I’ve seen in years, and so deeply relevant for today.

Fir anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, you can watch the first 3 episodes for free on YouTube. The rest is free too if you have certain swagger as he sing a shanty witg her mates! (Dbzero is a wonderful instance, by the by).

The Wire (I think it’s the final season) does the best job of accurately showing a newsroom in the era it was created of any show I’ve seen.

    From the animation department:

Pantheon is good, and tangentially topical.

Scavenger’s Reign is interesting otherworldly sci-fi, despite being a little slow to get moving.

The new Ranma ½ is goofy fun, and perhaps the most faithful remake I’ve ever seen of any show or movie.

Taskmaster season 19 has been great! I think my favourite season was 15 though. “Brace, brace!”
