Europe is less a place than it is a state of mind.
The Gothic series is awesome. It’s from Germany. Worshipped in Poland. It was basically the blueprint for the Witcher games. Especially Witcher 3.
The Risen series, by the same devs, is also pretty good. Basically “what if Gothic but Age of Sail”, with the second game being particularly piratical.
