So how does this work? Explain this to me. You bring a rifle to a protest and then a shitty ICE dude shoots you with a rubber bullet and then what? Does this end well for anyone.

    Again:

YSK - That there is a lot of trolling and brigading starting to happen around the LA peaceful protests to start violence. Here is a roadmap from 2015 on how they do it.: https://sh.itjust.works/post/39873361

No, the police tend to go hands-off when armed people show up to a protest. This is the real reason behind the second amendment, not the republican gun nut use of guns for fear and control.

They start shit and get violent when nobody has the power to hit back.

When they actually have the potential to trigger people shooting back with intent, they are far, far more careful.

They’re bullies. They’re scared when someone can hit back.

That’s not sarcastic, though. Police are cowards. See: waiting outside a school building for hours while elementary children are being shot.

It’s a big reason why Malcom X is vilified in history class and we’re all told his protests were ineffective background noise, even though the civil rights movements would likely have failed without him. They prefer peaceful non-threatening protests that they can either ignore or decimate at will.

Brown children were shot. They weren’t going to risk their lives for brown kids. In the protests, these are ICE dudes who want to kill brown people, that’s why they signed up.

Yeah I’m dismayed how much violence stoking I see in the comments. People need to stay safe, and throwing gasoline on a sparking outlet is not the way to do that

They’re vote brigading pretty hard in here as well. I don’t think Lemmy will fall for these tactics, but you never know. I archived this thread to show how blatant it is. This thread could be a case study.

Having fewer comments to sift through makes it much easier to self sort the crazy/obvious trolls, even when they make many accounts

Yeah, Lemmy is better that way. I have seen them post things that are similar enough to the comment they want to bury or use super long comments that don’t really say anything, that kind of mimics that from reddit. They’re pretty good at those kind of things. Most of them aren’t great at replying to direct questions or providing examples, they’ll either give crazy ass answers or just downvote the shit out of you. Occasionally, they’ll send in a really good one, but thankfully that’s somewhat rare.

It’s time to start killing for what we believe in. Let them fear us to bring lasting change. The dominoes have already fallen and we are in a state of civil war where only one side is choosing not to fight for fear of escalation and it’s leaving us trod underfoot. Death is the solution.

You want to talk about shady shit?

The fucking 50501 movement is funded by Isreal and controlled by Neoliberals.

The same money that prematurely ended the Covid lock downs because the BLM violent protests were making tangible change on police and election reform.

I appreciate the desire to be peaceful, but after how long of us sitting around getting shot at and imprisoned are you expecting a fascist oligarchy to give up and go home?

        I don’t believe you.

If you’re going to make claims like that provide a source.

Israel often funds shit to cause problems for their government, as justification to attack, but I see no evidence of them funding 50501 in any way.

Who spoke at the protests you went to?

Every time i go out the protests are totally organized by local neoliberals that are funded by neoliberal PACs.

Obviously if you were going to try to control an originality grassroots movement then you wouldn’t show who gives money to the event organizers.

Dems have been playing the role of controlled opposition to Republicans my entire life. And considering the situation with David Hogg i don’t think they’re changing plans anytime soon.

State officials, survivors of school shootings (speaking for gun control, naturally), and immigrants fleeing war overseas. We also had a rock band whose name I didn’t catch.

When party leaders/elected officials speak at rallies, it’s proof that there’s a conspiracy?

That’s amazingly soft, living up to your handle there.

When only leaders from a specific political party are allowed to have control or speak then yes that’s a conspiracy.

This isn’t reddit, you’re going to have to do better than this. Upvotes/downvotes brigading doesn’t have the same effect here either.
