Because “woke” has no hard definition and is just used as a derogatory term for anyone who doesn’t agree with them. For them being “woke” is the worst thing someone can be. If that happens to be another right-winger then all well.

On top of that Trump has been courting every type of right-winger that even vaguely has a pulse to bolster his support. Essentially diluting whatever meaning “woke” had even further.

I dunno, I lived through the 80’s and 90’s where something like 90% of people identified as Christian.

I also lived through the Bush II years where 70% of the country thought that Saddam Hussein was directly involved in the attacks and wanted to invade Iraq two years after 9/11

Thinking having your eyes open and your brain engaged is a bad thing is basically Americas modus operandi.

Those were the olden days, when we still had a slight bit of faith in our government to do the right things. Since then, we’ve learned the hard way that ALL Republicans are liars and traitors, and MOST Democrats are spineless weenies.

Nobody trusts either party to support the best interests of American citizens.
