Yeah, they pledge. And China has strong interest to ‘tackle global challenges.’
When Chinese leader Xi Jinping visited Russia a few weeks ago to celebrate victory day in Moscow, Chinese state-controlled media outlet South China Morning Post reported that China’s Xi Jinping kicked off his state visit by thanking Moscow for supporting Taiwan’s reunification with mainland China.
In a signed article in Russia’s state-run Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper … [Xi Jinping wrote that Taiwan’s] unification [with China] must be upheld as part of the post-war international order … Celebrating the “enduring friendship” between Moscow and Beijing, he said the two countries had supported each other since World War II …
Two of the global challenges -the war in Ukraine and China’s aggression against Taiwan- appear to be closely linked, at least from China’s point of view. Would be interested to know what other global challenges they were talking about. Unfortunately the linked report doesn’t mention any tangible outcomes of this meeting.
Is destroying Europe the challenge?
I think the challenge is the massive leverage the US has over the EU.
why would china want to destroy eu, we are very important customer for them and given that america is trying to block all and every chinese product sale, Im pretty sure that we are the most important trading partner they have
Nobody needs customers. People need resources and are willing to serve customers in exchange.
What has Europe to offer that China needs? We had advanced technologies, but China is quickly surpassing everything.
To answer both your questions at the same time I will say: Russia.
Why would China care more about Russia than good ties with the EU? Trump is alienating the EU, so the former western block is getting weaker. China has been successfully building the BRICS up to become more and more of an economic challenger to the NAFTA+EU+UK markets (broad category, i know). Right now China is in a trade war with the US. The more the countries attacked by the US band together, the stronger they can oppose the US.
China has strong incentives to strengthen economic ties with Europe. For that Europe needs to be wealthy enough to buy from China. At the same time the EU is not a military threat to China. With the recent escalation between India and Pakistan showing Chinese military jets to be competitive to supposedly modern french jets, China’s only military competitor in the world is the US. And the US is currently dismantling itself.
Finally China is getting payed quite well by Russia for its support. If Russia cannot deliver more, i am skeptical if China would continue that.
A lot of that is shitty for Europe, but i don’t see the intent of China to be to “destroy Europe”.

You claimed China would want to “destroy Europe”. Why would it want to destroy Europe? China is profiting of the war. War profiting is pretty common and extensively done by the US, EU and other global actors too. Doesn’t mean they want to destroy each other.
Also don’t you think it a bit weird to work towards economic cooperation if you would want to bomb the same place? Do you think China wants its hundreds of billions of assets in the EU being blown up?
You don’t need to blow up EU to destroy it.
