Now that I have been freed from the shackles of my mind, I am on quest to pursue the desires that have been hidden from me. I have been obsessed with getting this for my new feminine wardrobe. Not a weeb thing, just think it looks cooool. Where can I buy, or do I need to beg my sister to help make it (she’s never sewn clothes).

    So the site I pulled the image from called it a pinafore dress. But most of the results I got were pinafore aprons or Western pinafore dresses missing the pleated skirt. A lot of the cosplayer stores I looked at focused on the much more popular sailor style.

      Hmm yes, pinafore dress looks about right (I don’t really know all the styles yet).

      You might have luck checking out UK-based shops: it looks very similar to the kind of dress you’d see as school uniform there, which is probably where a lot of the anime designs ultimately come from.

      A quick search on Rakuten turned up items like this one, which is a bit different but perhaps close to the style you’re going for?

      (Actually I kind of want one now…)
