Summary
Federal courts continue to thwart the Trump administration’s sweeping attempts to shrink government programs and staff, with judges repeatedly accusing officials of ignoring or delaying orders.
Recent rulings:
- Halted OPM’s firing of probationary (new) employees, holding OPM had “no authority” to dictate hiring and firing decisions at other agencies.
- Blocked a blanket freeze on foreign aid, but SCOTUS granted a stay.
- Found attempts to suspend refugee admissions exceeded presidential authority.
- Restricted immigration enforcement at religious locations
- Limited federal access by DOGE for Education, OPM, Treasury, and Labor Department records.
- Enjoined a proposed federal funding freeze.
- Upheld injunctions against Trump’s birthright citizenship order in two appeals courts for likelihood of 14th Amendment violations.
The problem here is… Who puts them in a cell. It is the Executive Branch that enforces those decisions.
But here it’s the executive branch ignoring those decisions. So the system is designed for the Legislative branch to remove the overreaching executive leadership. Except they (as a general group majority) want this to happen, so they won’t do shit.
Theoretically, this is what they’ve always claimed the 2nd amendment is for. But those dipshits are asleep at the wheel because they’ve been fed propaganda their entire lives and believe everything is backwards from reality.
To be fair, someone did use their second amendment to try to take this guy out.
