Blizzard has said they plan on having two expansions. What would you like to see?
I’d like to see a Hell overworld (well, underworld) about the size of the current one but it changes randomly- maybe every day. Would need to be done so it doesn’t feel like you need to explore the whole map constantly. The expansion after would take place in Heaven. I want to kill God for loot. He fucking owes me.
I’d like to see the Paladin/Crusader and especially the Amazon make a comeback. A demon summoning class that has more temporary pets (because you sacrifice them for power) could be cool. Maybe add some witch doc stuff to it.
Another World Tier would be ideal to make the 80-100 gap not feel so shitty.
A horde mode/boss rush game type like Halls of Torment or Vampire Survivors. Give me upgrades that only work for the run, but as you kill more and more you get some kind of currency that can be used to purchase permanent gear for your character. I guess it’s just Helltides with ramping difficulty and density.
Paladin/crusader is a must at this point. I’ve missed monk from D3 and hope it returns at some point. I’d like for them to make some kind of turret building/tinker class fit thematically. Give me bombs and junk!
Wouldn’t surprise me if they added another tier; I think they were trying to get away from the 20 difficulty levels in D3.
The horde mode with temp powers sounds like it would be fun.
Couldn’t get into the monk much myself but would be interested to see what they could do now. The tinker type class would be cool and there’s a lot they could explore there.
I agree so much with the additional tiers. It feels like once you’re decently geared out in T4, anything outside of NM dungeons just gets too easy. Legion events, world bosses, hell tides; they all just get smashed with no real effort or sense of danger. I think having a T5 with enemies starting at level 100 and up would be awesome.
Diablo would be nice…
I know people want a new class but I just want Crusader again.
I like your idea of a Hell open world area. I really just want to see some completely different endgame activity like they did in RoS.
I think an ever-changing labyrinth kinda fits thematically and there could be roaming boss monsters or armies- plenty of opportunities for loot.
I just want Crusader again.
Yeah, I have a lot of really nice transmogs for shields and no reason to use them.
I second Paladin.
Given how the story progressed and all the paladin/crusader side quests, it felt like it was one of the classes that really needed to be in game.
Give me Tyrael as playable, or Angel, fallen angel type…
I want to kill God for loot. He fucking owes me.
I love how hard this is.
-I know I gonna get some hate for it but since it’s an online only game why not a Clan hub? Like the Groupe Castle from immortal?
-Also Sets…
-Something like an uberdungeon where at the end you get ported into another one but with 5+ level and so on. you can spent some earned currency to craft a key to start with a higher level.
-longterm goals for the eternal realm…
I never understand the obsessions so many players have with housing and clan buildings. I do not understand the appeal in the slightest in playing the Sims in a non Sims game. Please enlighten me…
Can’t afford time or energy to do that irl, so might as well in a game.
It depends how you play the game. Sure you can grind your fingertips off and toss it into the corner when you finished everything in the game but some people love to dive into the game. Did you ever take it slow, enjoyed the scenery, the details? Same goes for housing in such games for me at least. It’s a place, your place to relax, feel home. So the clanhub, It’s not hurting you if you dont care but for some people it might be the cherry on top for the immersion^^
But nevertheless such things like housing should never be prioritized, or be even close to gameplay, proper content, balancing and so on. Maybe for a group of interns while they don’t have things to do or so^^

you just described old greater rifts in D3, and people hated that with a passion
tbh i enjoyed it^^ but tastes are different and i can totally see why people would hate them^^
IMO it was too repetitive… and the whole “upgrade a legendary gem OR upgrade rift stone” at the end of a rift was also a bummer
I think a psychic class would be cool.
It would. I wonder if there’s any existing lore supporting that.
I mean they invented time travel for the shop. Why can’t they make psychics?
Of course they could make something new, I just meant if there was already existing lore they could build off of.
I might be pulling this out of my ass, but I somehow recall that some of the wizard abilities in D3 implied telekinesis. Which then implies that psychics could be real. I think you could combine it with some aspects of like 1800s spiritualism or aesthetic mysticism to nail down the theme.
I think it would fit right in to the gritty world D4 has made. Maybe be a sect of Ivgorod, which gives us a reason to go there for the first time and maybe back to Arreat to re-settle the clans.
Edit: Oh! I also forgot to mention how it could be so environmentally interactive. Like telekinetically throwing random environmental objects at enemies or slamming enemies against walls in tight spaces.
For some reason this also made me think that whips should be a weapon class. Rogues, the psychic, & sorc could use them.
The Wizard did have telekinesis. Just remembered the assassin had some psychic stuff too. The D3 monk had some borderline psychic abilities.
Throwing enemies around and into walls would be cool. I also want to explode heads but not sure that fits thematically, heh.

Diablo 1 and 2 both had skills called Telekinesis. You could open doors, chests, etc and pick up items.
More opportunities to change how our skills work and interact with each other. Maybe we can work with powerful NPCs to unlock thematic variations of our skills. Lorath for instance could teach a rogue how to make sigils, unlocking new Horadric variants for each of their trap skills. Taissa could teach a druid how to draw upon the power of the swamp, putting a regional twist on their earth skills. I feel like blizzard nailed it with the world building this time around, and I’d love for them to lean into that by making it a bigger part of our character progression in lieu of adding new classes.
Crusadin hype club! We want to go crusadin’ guys!
There’s an occult book called “The Lesser Key of Solomon” that details 72 demons ruled by 72 angels. Might make for an interesting endgame endeavor. Each demon rules over seemingly random things like one teaches languages, stops and retrieves runaway persons, causes earthquakes, and grants noble titles. Would probably need to make them more game related, heh.
I would love to see the Monk class again. It was my favorite in D3. Mostly I miss the Mystic Ally and Exploding Palm builds. If they could do anything even remotely similar it would be hella fun.
When they initially announced the game as open world I was hyped. Let me describe what I thought it would be:
You leave the city and get put into an open instance (same like now), but the environment is randomly generated every time. Which means you actually run out and explore, find cellars, random dungeons, random bosses, …
And with level scaling everything you find is the right amount of challenge, so you don’t run out of content.
If we go with that, maybe they could add a feature like maps where you explore the uncharted wilds out of a border town.
I thought it was going to be something like that as well.
I would like to see a storyline that brings Cain back because I miss that old man and I once again want to hear, " stay awhile and listen "
Maybe he can Force Ghost his way back in.
It’s not quite the same, but he does have a bunch of dialogue in Diablo Immortal.
