Seems rather obvious tbh. Players are given a schedule, told what to do, punished for disobediance, and exploited of the value of their labor like everyone else. I dislike collegiate athletic programs in their current state for other reasons but once the athletics became an industry instead of a service provided by the school for amateurs this should have already happened.
My question is whether this means they, and every other student athlete, can now sue for back pay?
