I had one like that, it’s so dumb it had to go at random and often loses the way back home. I assume they still exist. The technology has definitely improved and you can jail break most of them. Last I brought was a little spy bot, honestly, but with some attention you can either overwrite the software (and keep the physical improvements) or block it from accessing the internet.
