zloubida@sh.itjust.worksto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•This guy. Abrahemic religions are mental illness and a plague against progressEnglish31·4 天前Because if you did, you’d learn that Muslims are normal people. Some are assholes, some are not. Some are straight and homophobic, others are proudly queer. You could argue that Islam is bad because it encourages homophobia, that’s an acceptable opinion. But saying that all Muslims are homophobic is bigoted and just plain wrong. The difference between legitimate criticism and hate is not hard to understand… unless one wants to blur the line, probably to hide one’s hatred.

However, it’s cool to have typewriters just for decoration. Not my thing, but cool if it’s someone’s.

There’s a whole theological reflection by the German pastor and theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who participated in a tentative to kill Hitler. In a nutshell, he said that killing was always bad, but in some fringe cases, someone has to get their hands dirty.
He was killed by the Nazis after the failure of the killing attempt.
For a while, maybe, but two whole days?

I begun with GNOME and always come back to it when I try something else. But that’s what’s wonderful with Linux: there’s choice!
