#AutisticParent and mom of a #transgender and #ActuallyAutistic adult I adore. She/Her
Avatar is a cartoon of me as “the book angel” drawn by a friend. I’m in purple, have wings, and am holding out a book.
Profile image is a picture of a woman being hugged by a giant book with arms coming out of its pages.
@notTheAudience I also liked Wildfire better than Icebreaker. And was really interested in the main character of this.
@notTheAudience Oh dear. I’ve been looking forward to it but you’re not the first I’ve heard say it was disappointing.
@WhiskeyintheJar Nice! It goes on the list.
@ScribblingSandy Oh, I have read at least one - Scorpio Summer. TV setting. Gonna try a few more I found at Open Library. @romancebooks
@ScribblingSandy I don’t think I’ve ever read her. Theatre book sound cool!
@WhiskeyintheJar Oh dear. 😂@romancebooks
@wendypalmer Good to know, thanks!
@wendypalmer Ah, the good book hangover! A Marvellous Light is so satisfying! I don’t know The Mars House, will have to put it on the TBR.
@Dagwood222 published in 1979. English writer, I think.
@A_Very_Big_Fan I’ll try putting a word before next time.
@A_Very_Big_Fan Sorry, I’m not following. That’s a hashtag for me. Are you saying hashtags shouldn’t go at the beginning of a toot?
@RomanceReviews Oooo, thief characters are fun…
@lenoreo I’m really enjoying it! Are there other books with demisexual characters you’d recommend?
On the other hand, by the end I felt the author had worked to make the standard plot relevant to who he was, and gave him a good remorse arc. So qualified approval, and it’s an entertaining read. I also liked the strength and competency of the FMC.
@PamelaMcMuffin That was a fun one!
@pretensesoup Oh, did you get the free epilogue to WCBSG? I just got mine yesterday.
@PamelaMcMuffin Awww, I’m sorry you didn’t like it. It’s a big favorite of mine. I like seeing people like my husband and friends in books and it doesn’t happen that often. (Not stalkers! Geeks. ;-) ) @romancelandia @romancebooks
It’s got “fake dating” and “grumpy/sunshine” tropes and does so much more with them than I’m used to seeing.
Also, I forgot to mention that both characters are Black, and Hollywood actors.
@wendypalmer It doesn’t necessarily have one, but I’m not that far in yet. The similarity is more meta.
