I love how this post turned into a Chroma thread, lmao.
Rhino might be simpler and more effective, but Chroma looks cooler and makes the game more interesting imo. That’s the lifeblood of endgame for me.

I farmed up two copies of Arcane Energize for some newer players and Avenger/Fury/Arachne/Strike as well. As for everything else… The Vosfor must flow.
Fun build! I tried this out on my support Styanax and it works quite well.
Here’s my variant, with 2 cast speed and 3 ability strength shards.
Ohh, I do really want an Influence Whipclaw. Maybe Atlas will be saved that way too.
Hold-to-spam for pseudo-exalted abilities would be really nice too. In the meantime, the OG hack of binding 1 to scroll wheel will have to do.
Dang, do people actually like Gloom? I feel like I want enemies to spawn faster and run at me as quickly as possible so I can commit more war crimes per second. If I could get universal Speedva for free, I’d absolutely do it.
Khora is a monster. Lots of people use her for farming/interception, but I much prefer to run her as a whip-cracking DPS with Magistar Incarnon, Magus Aggress, and Amethyst Archon shards for melee crit damage.
Definitely concerned that Khora won’t be able to casually hit huge damage numbers after the pseudo-exalted rework. We’ll see what happens, I guess.
They’re ok. Just a fun little toy that brings back nostalgia and not much more, at least for PvE purposes. My old hands are content to bullet jump as DE intended when they folded coptering into the game.
Are they banned in Conclave?
No frills, just on-demand damage, defense, and CC. Rhino is still a beast thanks to Roar’s unique damage interactions and Iron Skin getting reworked to provide overguard. I like playing a minmaxed Roar build when helping new players so they can get a taste of real power.
I love Combat Discipline + Avenger Trinity with negative efficiency and Slamfluence builds. It’s super braindead to play thanks to Link’s targeting and has insane synergy with Madurai/Naramon. I also dropped almost all survivability mods on my companions in favor of Bond offense/utility mods since you can just press 4.
Welcome back to the space circus. Remember, you’re here forever!
Despite the fact that many players hang out in Steel Path, it is entirely optional just like most other things in the game. Like others have mentioned, Warframe is a veritable archipelago of stuff to do.
Citrine as a Protoframe would be horrifying. I can’t imagine the dialogue tree. 😰
I too came for the space ninja pirate wizards and stayed in spite of the… other stuff.
The Second Dream was cool and all, but the new systems were so rough at launch that I took my first extended break from the game because of it.
I still don’t like my space kid that much so they stay in the Orbiter closet.
Want: Ember, Mesa, Mirage (plus Saryn, Gyre, Khora if I’m allowed to be extra greedy)
Expect: Ash, Ember, Rhino
Please no: Jade
I think this actually is with the Deathtrap Trigger evo selected - it’s currently bugged to display the extra crit modifiers in the arsenal despite being a conditional proc.
Now add Secondary Outburst!
Besides the design flaws that others have pointed out already, I can’t play Lavos since his ability chording gives me hand pain after prolonged sessions, and I can’t use my mouse buttons for them without redoing binds or creating a completely separate Lavos-only button profile.
Cooldown-based abilities are also not my thing; I’ve played enough classic MMOs to tire of the timeline optimization meta-game.
In no particular order, I think my top 5 melee Incarnons are regular Magistar (Khora stat stick + Slam builds), Praedos (speed), Ceramic Dagger (Secondary Outburst stick), Dual Ichor, and Skana (I just think longswords are cool). Furax is also an honorable mention for secondary users - I’m not sure why Amalgam mods exist, but I’m definitely thankful for Amalgam Furax Body Count!
Okina is just outside my top 5 alongside Furax, Hate, and Innodem, but I’ll have to see if I can work Okina into more builds.
Kunai is the standout of this bunch IMO. I think it’s the only weapon in the game with such easy access to headshot homing (do Buzlok and Zymos count?); no need to prep with Scourge alt-fire or Void status. It’s carried me through countless headshot Riven challenges. Great on Cyte-09 as well for emergency Evade refreshes. The main drawbacks are its extremely small magazine size and occasional weird tracking against enemies with unconventional weakpoints.
Skana is my second favorite (ok fine, I just want an excuse to use literally any of the cool longsword skins and stances). When’s Pangolin Incarnon Genesis??
Paris is a fun one as well - super satisfying to scythe down entire hallways with a single shot. Pretty funny on Mag as well. Bhisaj-Bal makes this slightly easier for general use over Dread IMO, but Unseen Dread has the definite edge on stealth frames. Unfortunately I find bows in general fairly clunky to use, so I don’t get a ton of use out of this one.
Braton is fine, if somewhat boring. The extra damage on evo 2 only being active on channeled abilities means I only ever feel compelled to use this on Sevagoth or Ember, but even without that it’s a strong, easy-to-use Incarnon.
Lato Incarnon Genesis is the only Incarnon I haven’t tried yet. I’ve been stubbornly re-farming Lato Vandal since I was an idiot and sold my previously-mastered copy a long time ago. I don’t expect this to outshine other secondary Incarnons, but it seems strong enough on paper as a reliable Circuit/EDA pick.
This isn’t the first year they’ve done it, but heatmaps by mastery are a great enrichment to the otherwise flat ranking-by-usage data.
I kinda wish there was an option to combine stats for base/Prime frame variants, especially for Primes that released in the lookback year.
Edit: am I tripping, or are stats missing for Excal Umbra/Prime?
I wasn’t aware of the damage redirection priority before Overguard… My Nekros was relegated to Argon and Arbitration farming for the last few years, but sounds like I’ll have to experiment with more modern setups.
