There’s parents who just let kids do whatever and ‘they will tell you when they are ready’.

I mean, having been through this with 5 kids now, that’s kinda what you have to do. But only to a point. There needs to be at least some progress at the very least by the time they get to preschool age. My youngest sleeps in pullups, but during the day he wears “training” undies and happily uses the toilet all on his own, both pee and poop.

Getting him to wash his hands though, that’s a whole different ball game.

My youngest (4) is potty trained now, but took a bit to get going. He’s non-verbal (technically, he has some words and can get his point across with that and hand gestures), and we’re thinking of keeping him in preschool another year if the school district pussies out again.

That’s what they said last time. It’s just a perpetual finger wagging at this point.

So I live about an hour away from that cave system.

Growing up in the late 90s, one of our youth leaders would always talk about how awesome Nutty Putty was, make regular trips to it (and many other caves, dude was an explorer to the core), and even tried to get our youth group to go. Being someone who enjoys big, open spaces, I finally asked how it was getting in and out. When he described it, I immediately said the Mormon equivalent of “fuck that shit, hell to the no” and vowed never to venture anywhere near there.

I remember when John got stuck, and the heart-dropping moment when the recovery equipment failed, sealing his fate. His poor wife and kids.

Seriously. I was thinking about throwing an additional 32GB into my gaming PC, upping it to 64GB.

I’ve recently realized that I am perfectly happy with 32GB. Even if it is DDR4.
