And we thought they were mad at the little mermaid…
The only problem with pissing on Trump’s grave is… eventually you run out of piss.
It’s just a greeting. The proper response is “fine, and you?” The person will dig deeper if they wanted a bigger answer.
sub’ed thanks, looks fun!
let’s start with you’re not getting prosecuted for not having a vaccination. These people are going into other states to track people down. It is their body. It is their choice. There is no debate. We’re not talking about masks. We’re talking about abortion. Try to focus on a single issue. What does Hunter Biden have to do with this? I’m sure you think something.
One affects other people, the other does not. Get out of here with your debate, my body, my choice.
Nah, MY body MY choice. Choose for yourself. No debate bro
my body, my choice is all the logic we need. Don’t try to argue or draw debates. It will only divide it will only give them some sort of sense that their argument holds water. There is nothing but ‘my body, my choice.’
There is certainly a right answer, my body, my choice. Get out of here trying to reason with the pro life side. There is no discussion. There is no compromise, there is no trying to understand those fools. My body, my choice no more discussion. That’s all the discussion we need
when I sold to Amazon, they refused to do a deal at anybody else’s cost structure. They demand an extra discount, but they also buy two of everything you have and everything you sell. It’s a big trade off. Even getting the shipment organized because it’s not correct exactly, you can be fined. So I’m sure they make a little bit off of that, plus it is direct company strategy to undercut, so they eliminate competition. They have had no problem losing money while establishing their business structure. Also, their used books are procured by local people for pennies on the dollar and typically make the seller less than a dollar in profit . They are operating on very thin margins, and making their money elsewhere with the expectation of diminished competition.
Yhey also keep some of their overhead low. The retailer that wants to sell tonAmazon has to build their own sku’s into the system. It’s very tedious work, and takes a very long time, and you have to fill out all of their fields, even though most of them are very repetitive. It’s a large undertaking and not having to do it saves them a lot of money.
They also charge book sellers warehouse fees, so they don’t have to keep the books around their house waiting to sell. Again, all of these little things add up to pennies on the dollar but when you multiply it out by Amazon numbers it adds up.
They already have the infrastructure in place, having an extra line item doesn’t really affect Amazon as much as you think it might.
sometimes a company will do some thing called loss-leaders. Perhaps a new book comes out, and they want to sell it to $15 less than everybody else. They are willing to lose that money to get your business so that you do future business with them. They would like to sign up new accounts which is harder than getting existing accounts to double their spending. either way, engagement and purchases are up when you offer steep discounts.
that was a lot to take in before coffee on a Sunday morning! lol.
Can someone please point me in the direction of a coven on lemmy please?
started playing cat music at night. There is one called 528 Hz or some thing. It lasts like 10 hours. It has completely changed my local cat pride. The matriarch is old and was crying a lot at night, she sleeps better, we all sleep better. I hope maybe that helps?
Quick warning, use private, browsing, or your entire YouTube algorithm will be cat music. After all, you just watched 10 hours a day.
we will all still be here when their hyperactivity wears off.
with the old Reddit simulator, personally I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. This place has a great user base and it feels so old-school.
Ya’ll remember when we did beans?!
Damn that takes me back to when Lemmy first hit. Newbs just don’t know.
mlmym.org acts like oldreddit, someone linked it further down in the comments, and it’s changed my world.
And updoot! Quick n easy
