Profiteering from US tariffs: if your company were trading with international partners for things like coffee, your prices should be lower. I think this excuse that prices go up here because they went up in the US should put you in prison, like where the Weston family should be for price-fixing bread. But we know that isn’t going to happen.

That was my experience. Wife had work telling her to use it, she asked me for help. I tried to get it to do things and all it would do is suggest stuff that we both knew perfectly well how to do with shortcuts. As for anything complex like have a chat and generate a document: fuck no. Might as well go to chat-jippity and copypasta it’s result and format it yourself. Utter waste of time. I don’t see why it’s there, I can’t find a use-case.
Oh come on, Gnome 45 was only 2 years ago. I guess we’ll see how extensions go then, but I’m not holding my breath. I wouldn’t waste my time on building anything for Gnome at this point. I abandoned Gnome at the garbage-collector BS where they blamed extension devs for the memory leak then used the big hammer solution.

I’ve used Gnome on and off for about a quarter century. There have been devs with very popular extensions that have sworn off Gnome because of their attitude towards breaking extensions. So if they’ve suddenly become concerned about breaking things people rely on to make Gnome marginally usable after Gnome itself has removed popular features, then that’s a recent trend. So pull the other one.
After twenty years of self-built printers, I got an Ender 3 to stop having to fiddle with the printer every time I went to print. It was glorious. Not sure why the Ender hate, they work well, especially for the price.
This is Gnome we’re talking about here, they don’t GAF if extensions work or not. They’ll break them tomorrow if they feel like it.
To be fair, the farmer bailout is a drop in the bucket of what they’re down over lost sales to China and higher fertilizer prices. Like, have the day you voted for and all that, but 12B is 1% of this years military budget.

These anti-dumping duties have been in since 2014 with no appreciable result in jumpstarting a home-grown PV panel industry. So I think we can safely say that the only effect of them has been to cripple PV use in Canada over the past decade. The large users will just do an end run on a container of panels from China via Vietnam, anyway. So it’s the small user that gets screwed. Maybe that’s by design, I guess we need to follow the money to see where this regulatory lockin is benefitting someone. But it isn’t consumers.
I’d have been fine with it if there was a domestic industry to protect, but it doesn’t exist in NA. And before some smart guy says “but Canadian Solar!!!1!”, you’ll want to look into that brand a bit closer.

The thing is the concepts were nothing new, the “science” was handwaving bullshit that didn’t pass the sniff test, and the character development was so incredibly bad it beggars the imagination that it was written by a literature prof. Everything was a slap in the face that kept you from engaging in what little there was to recommend the story. And the deus ex machina plot device at the end that obviated everything else that proceeded it was the icing on the cake.
I wanted my money back at the end.
Maybe don’t take away every firearm that isn’t a single shot bolt action rimfire from people that have passed a more stringent background check than getting hired as a RCMP.
If it had been written in the last 3 years, I’d have been utterly convinced it was written by a bad AI.

IDK how Frigate handles alerts, but Blue Iris will write an alert to MQTT topic if it matches object recog, and I have an app MQTT Alert that watches that and goes nuts if it comes up. The BI android app is underwhelming in its alerts.
I’d have to figure Frigate has some sort of MQTT capability. I tried using Frigate but it was pretty basic for my needs, so I moved on.
I can’t say I particularly trust even Bitwarden’s servers. I export Bitwarden passwords to a spreadsheet once a month and rsync it along with SSH keys to a USB key. Takes a couple minutes.
