Obviously the first view of coup/colonization is from nationalist oligarchy perspective. Those who give Trump kickbacks will get free assets and resources, and can gain even if oil prices fall. Constitution is existing VP. I don’t see the possibility of pure theft of resources government surviving, nor the US having the capability to directly govern Venezuela. Asking for private US investment in the country is tough, because sooner or later, it will get nationalized again.
