  • I buy R50 bags, which is around the price of a pack of legal cigarettes with some change left over. Although I think it’s hard to compare prices of things across borders and currencies.

And this R50 bags are basically the lowest rung of the decent quality. And it’s outdoor, so sometimes the quality is pretty close to indoor, sometimes it’s not so great. And if the quality is good, it’ll be a strict 5 grams but if it’s standard stuff, the guy usually packs a little extra.

So it’s also a bit difficult to give it a per day cost. A R50 bag can last me 1 to 3 days depending on a few factors.

Just want to add, I’m also my weed guy’s movie and series guy. So I’m often getting free bags thrown in, in exchange for some movies and shit loaded onto USBs.

  • My first ever suspension from Reddit was for an anti religion comment. On Reddit. Then after my 3 days were up, the first thread I saw was on the subject of religion, full of people saying worse thing than I had, and in one of the major subs, not even atheism or anything.

I could definitely buy that they’re using AI but personally I always had the impression that they outsource the job and don’t make sure everyone is even on the same page or can read English properly.

Because even the stuff that gets [removed by Reddit] seems to be nonsense a lot of the time. A while ago I saw someone make a post saying something like “Hi guys, haven’t been active much lately. But I’m back and gonna be posting more.” Came back later and it was [removed by Reddit]. So not even that is trustworthy or gives the impression that they actually know wtf they’re doing.

  • Personally, I still haven’t started judging users by the instance that they made their profile on. Unless there’s right wing instances but in that case I’m guessing they’re de-federated from my current experience. I prefer to go by what I’m reading from an individual user or the vibe in a particular community. When you browse instances on the join page, there’s no cliff notes on the turf wars between them. So a lot of users are signing up based on the written description.

  • These kinds of men that are constantly focused on what it means to be a ‘man’ are the biggest fucking insecure snowflakes of them all. These are the kind of people who act like their entire race and gender is being erased when 1 in 10 Marvel movies don’t have a white male lead. When all attention isn’t on them, they spit their pacifiers out and wail.

Take this election for example. It wasn’t about them. Even if they don’t care about queer people (we know they don’t), it was also about doing the right thing for their mothers and their sisters and their daughters. But because the poor, hard done by white man wasn’t given as much importance as people who are literally getting their rights taken away, they decided join the oppressors and spit in their mothers’ faces.

Not because they’re men but because they’re pieces of shit.

  • Fallout: New Vegas. NPCs might not be that advanced in terms of schedules and stuff but in terms of flavour and story probably blow just about any other RPG out of the water. I also think I prefer a world that doesn’t level with you, where quick saving and quick loading isn’t going to get you through everything all the time and sometimes you just need to come back at a higher level.

I do see value in Bethesda’s leveled NPCs and items in terms of replay value but I think it also makes things a little too casual and makes quick saving/loading the most powerful weapon or power in your arsenal. Because technically nothing is ever out of depth for you, so it’s just a case of trying again until you succeed.

Also, in response to someone here talking about the music, I listen to this soundtrack occasionally in down time. It’s a nice break from alternative and punk and metal and shit, when you’re not exactly a fan of other modern music. Between FNV and BioShock, I’ve become quite an Artie Shaw and a Helen Forrest fan.
