Thanks you again for this year, it’s the first time it is that full! Less bugs than last year and the first time i saw actual diplomacy between communities! Oh and happy birthday!

Insults mean blocking for me.
We don’t think the same, and that’s what makes this world interesting. If you say your thinking is superior to all others, i wont allow you to turn this space into a boring place.

Now i propose we do small touhou characters on the sides. I do reimu and marisa under thetouhou x linux sign
Hey about the Tux (the penguin) we’re allies, do not draw that part of the template!
Thank you very much!
𒉀TheGuyTM3𒉁@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What does everyone here do when you can’t sleep and are wide awake besides being on phone? [serious]6·3 天前Dreaming awake. Idk how to call it otherwise.
I invent to myself the most ridiculous stories of things of my imagination and i play them in my head, like a sort of head game.
When i do a sufficiently long story, i often fall asleep on it and i continue it the next evening, and it can last months. Plus you get better at mental visualisation the more you do it. I remember dreams almost every night since i did that for a long time.
Hello webizen, notifying you about the canvas so that it doesn’t happen again :)
-The (rare) autistic-enough touhou project fans who came to the fediverse, we need YOU! This template is pretty empty and ready to accept your references and ideas! You are welcome ! 今年も東方が来る!
-Info: we are collaborating with the Tux, do not attack it!
Check out !touhou@lemmy.world
(I am ready to move it if needed)
A shitty AI wouldn’t understand why #B00B69 is the perfect color
Sweet! Saw it late this time, almost missed it! Gotta prepare my pixelarts!
𒉀TheGuyTM3𒉁@lemmy.mlto Fediverse@lemmy.world•lemm.ee is shutting down at the end of this monthEnglish101·1 个月前Damn, even if it was to be excepted with how the admin issue was evolving, it’s still sad.
But i guess the strengh of the fediverse come from the fact that such an issue can happen without impacting the entire lemmy community as a whole.
I’m just worried that the lack of moderation becomes a recurrent issue in the future of lemmy with the userbase growth and the lack of revenue.
I wish best luck for communities moderators and EE users!

Tbh few months ago i would be absoluetly against it and argue that this is support for a thing that kills artists. But now and with this specific case i’d just say that’s too bad but not a big deal.
I do some art myself and i avoid using AI for inspiration, like i avoid being dependent on any tool i cannot fully understand. I know that this is not the vision of some others artists and if they find joy in using AI, good for them, just, i think it is putting their creativity on the side, which is wasted potential.
Like others say though, i hope that ZUN will keep his drunk brain as the root of the game he makes. That he will keep touhou “artisanal”. (I think he will do, because afterall, before genAI was everywhere, he used stock image for backgrounds, which have very little importance on the content itself, AI’s a small change).
That aside, with the anti-genAI movement on internet becoming more harsh and unforgiving, i’d say i’m just tired of doing morals on others.
If an artist is passionate and happy, about its project, it is the only thing that matter. If they use gen tools to do it faster and that no one will notice because it’s too good, it’s their problem. It’s them who should question themselves if they want to let an AI putting others ideas on theirs, whitout regretting it later.
(oops i divagued a bit on the end)
True, i did a sophism, all cards must now be reversed, i am upvoting you.
You are doing a logical fallacy of assuming wrong based only on logical fallacies. I am downvoting you.
I just think theses people(who use AI to make art) does not have enough courage and perfectionism to get into drawing.
“Why bother putting hours in drawing learning, if the magical AI can draw the meme I ask it instantly?”
“Why bother buying a telescope and putting hours in astronomy theory if you can see better space images for free on internet?”
“Why bother doing a marathon, if i can just take my car and go there faster?”
For everything, you need to invest enough of your time in it so start liking it. The majority of people only have a few hobbies.
They see art as a way to be popular for the nerds who are skilled enough to draw. They see astronomy as a way to be popular for the nerds who learned astrophotography. They see sport as a way to be popular for the nerds who are fit enough to run.
For them, one thing that seemed innaccessible, became accessible with AI. I know it’s sad, but theses people don’t care if something has a soul or not. They just want their eye-appealing ghibli portrait.
Here’s a good blog article that better conveys my point of view.
