I know! Horrible isn’t it? I just can’t help it, thinking about stuff is actually fun for me… so embarrassing!

One reason why that is probably not true is because there are less positrons but if it were true they should number the same as electrons, right?
But if electrons are moving along the same “time direction” as we are and positrons are moving in the opposite “direction” then wouldn’t we expect there to be less protons? As we can’t measure the protons that already “passed” us? And we would measure more electrons as a some/many/all of the existing electrons are traveling alongside us?
No! I’d rather be 20 years ago!
The satellite went boing boing?
So you could just use Email in these archaic programs called Thunderbird etc. If you really wanted to use gmail. You know, without adds, without the need for an ad blocker, without AI recommendations and at your leisure.
But hey, you’d have to install something on your computer for that… how horrible.
And who uses computers for work anyway, you can just write your essay on a tablet. (but there are also email apps on those)
It’s a shittier way to work but hey it’s easier.
You may achieve biologic immortality, but you will still age mentally, get jaded and bored. Unless someone also invents being mind wiped after so many centuries. But then you might as well just die normally again right? What is the difference between a person who has no memory of their past and a new person.
That’s the cheap chinese knockoff, Neckdobalds.
Every 20 year old is going to be a 90 year old someday (if they are lucky). Complaining about age is unnecessary, because all those young people you see running around and envy…
You can be content in knowing they’ll pine after youth the same way in a few decades. You can feel smug in knowing that they too will despair in a midlife crisis and look in horror upon the wrinkles in the mirror. That they too will feel the fathomless sadness of knowing that all the things they dreamed about and never achieved will weigh them down deep into murky depth.
That they too will live in the future as old people and not get to fully enjoy its marvels.
You may rejoice, for you have already climbed that mountain. You stand on its peak or near enough, and soon you will jump off into everlasting oblivion…
The voices in their head.
We didn’t get hover cars, personal jetpacks, high speed personal tube travel systems, moon bases or mars terraforming.
But we do have robot dogs, electronic cigarettes, lying AI and the ability to kill people remotely by dropping grenades on their heads from almost invisible micro aircraft.
Maybe it depends on culture? I feel I am pretty normal, I don’t take medication and I am content (though winning a few millions in the lottery would be nice). Most people I work with are perfectly normal too (and I work at a university in the psychology department, go figure… though maybe that’s the reason).
The only one in my family who takes medication is my brother and he has epilepsy. None of my friends take any medication for mental health either or go to psychiatrists. Everyone of us is different but not everyone has some trauma in his past or mental health issues. This isn’t a crpg where every protagonists parents got killed by the big evil who was also their grandparent.
I do recognize that mental health problems are far more prevalent than assumed by the general population in past times and that many people have traumas from events in their history.
Chant with me… Indie games… Indie Games! INDIE GAMES!
It’s… it’s dead Jim.
At least Lise Meitner is not forgotten, I currently work in a building on Lise-Meitner Street!
Oh awesome, I think $2.99 is totally acceptable. I might just buy it to run on my c64.
Shouldn’t Arch be the recommended gaming distro? Not because any focus on gaming but because it is the distro SteeamOS is based on?
It’s the ghoooost of Amigas paaaast!
Ah I see ;) I also have two loves, but my gaming pc is too heavy to drag to bed…
