If he was food motivated to teach with, sure 😁
I usually set out options and give the command to eat. I’m getting better at guessing which food he wants though.

If they can smell and taste better than us, I’m sure water is closer to soda for them with many different flavors. My dog gets breta filled water, but prefers mountain spring water > rain puddle > breta filtered > tap.
My dog is the pickiest eater I know. The problem I have is that it is never consistent. One day nothing is good enough, another he ignores steak for kibble, the next is a cat food day, then all of a sudden it is time for steak!
He has the forbidden knowledge that you can crave certain food at the moment, but he has no way to tell be what exactly he wants haha.
He has been eating much more, hence the lack of posting recently. I think he is even putting on weight.
Today was an eating day. Chicken nuggets Chicken quesadilla Wisconsin fried cheese French fries 1/4 Cookout BBQ sandwich 9 Cesar dogfood patties Kibble Multivitamin Dog cookies
Not the healthiest meal day but he has refused food for 3 days so I’ll take it.
I debated with myself for a long time on this one :) might remove it in a bit.
Every night he is given sargento and babybel. Same deal. Same for boarshead or tilamuc and all the others. Just didn’t want to waste expensive cheese for the photo when I already knew the result. :)
Several teams of vets have done tons of tests and still have no clue .
Thank you. Life has been busy, but didn’t forget to take pics. :)
But I cut into pieces for him already lol.
Also have you ever seen a dog with a knife in its mouth? If you do, it is time to run away!
Lol, he will eat most anything posted here.
He will eat for a day and then has no interest in food for several days. It can be frustrating because I don’t know if it will be an eating day or a refusing food day. This sadly results in wasted food.
The only things he will eat any time it is offered is canned tuna and cashews. Both can cause issues if fed in large amounts so he gets those every once in a while.
Why?
Some days he eats any of these meals. Other days he eats normal dog kibble. Some days he refuses to eat.
That is Chex cereal. It is a crap shoot if he will eat, but we try to make sure his nutrients are balanced. Needs some carbs, cereal is fortified with vitamins, has fiber.
If he is in an eating mood, he does not mind the cereal or spinach.
Has been seen by world class vets. They can’t figure it out. Instruction is currently to feed him anything that he is willing to eat that is non toxic to canines.
A mystery that many vets have not been able to answer even though he has had almost every medical test known to man. He is just weird.
Stunted growth, but it is not from lack of access to food. Healthy aside from being smaller than expected.
He is offended. Cheese is only to be eaten at bed time. His rule, not ours.
The food is always offered and the command to eat given. He has not been told not to eat it.
He eventually eats about 50% of food offered. Every meal is random on if he will eventually eat it. Some days he will eat kibble and ignore a steak… Lol
OMG, posts load instantly now, used to take 3 to 15 seconds. I’m in US East Coast for reference.
