I was wondering why it looked off. The skin has this “plastic wrap” sheen to it that every AI-generated human seems to have, and the raptor looks like a giant plastic toy.

Or you can just smoke weed and drop acid in your 20s like I did, and get over a decade’s head start on not giving a fuck. By age 30 I was no longer worried about every single thing; the substances I took gave me some perspective about how little everything in my life matters in the grand scheme of things.
See this is why I miss COVID. It was the perfect excuse to stay at home and do nothing, and when I did have to go out, the roads were clear and hardly anyone was around.
Pisses me off so much that the extroverts had to ruin everything by bitching and moaning until government officials around the world caved and ended lockdown early.
Bunch of selfish cunts. Literally got people killed over their strange desire to socialize. It’s beyond infuriating.
Psythik@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify caught hosting hundreds of fake podcasts that advertise selling drugsEnglish3·11 hours agoYeah seriously; unless you’re an audiophile who spends extra on quality headphones, your Bluetooth buds are probably using the SBC codec, which cuts off frequencies at 16kHz and thus is hardly better than listening to a 128Kbps MP3. (In Android you can see what codec your headphones are using by going into the developer options.)
And to be honest, if you care enough about sound quality to spend extra on the high res tier in your streaming service of choice, you’re probably using wired headphones. Audiophiles don’t fuck with Bluetooth.

To me it seems that you’re in over your head. You should probably just have ChatGPT write the code for you and call it a day.

I use this one. (Zelotes C-18)
Yes it’s Chinese, but it is a real gaming mouse. Decent build quality, and unlike other cheap Chinese mice, it tracks perfectly without skipping frames. I use it to play competitive shooters. The software it comes with is straightforward and easy to use for button mapping. You also get 5 DPI settings that can be manually set to anything you want.
My only complaint is that I wish the joystick was a D-Pad because it’s not analog. So it’s useless for one-handed gaming, but it’s useful for stuff like weapon switching, or other functions that would normally be assigned to the D-Pad if you were playing with a controller. Also it would be nice if the RGB lights were compatible with SignalRGB or OpenRGB, but very few Chinese products are so I simply turned off the lights in the included app.
I’ve been using it for over four years and if it ever breaks, I’ll just get another one. Best mouse I’ve ever owned.

We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children
This is the way. I haven’t used Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Task Manager since the Windows XP days. The only time Ctrl+Alt+Del is still useful is when you want to interrupt a fullscreen app that is misbehaving and won’t give you the desktop back.
Then why even have air conditioning? I would never turn it on with those temps.
Leave your windows open all night, close them in the morning when you wake up. The residual coolness will keep your house a comfortable temperature all day long. That’s what I do in the spring before the temps hit 100+.
Um, yes? What planet are you from where it isn’t?
At 74°F, your average HVAC system will have to run 12+ hours a day in peak summer, when it’s 110°+ outside. This is how you get a $400/mo power bill. 76-78° is more reasonable (and more comfortable). This is coming from someone who hates the heat because I sweat a lot.
Psythik@lemm.eeto Movies@lemmy.world•Christopher Nolan’s ‘Odyssey’ Will Be the First Blockbuster Shot Entirely on Imax Film CamerasEnglish51·1 day agoWhile I appreciate the effort, what’s even the fucking point, when there are only a handful of real IMAX theaters left in the entire world? (Less than 30 that still have real 70mm projectors, last time I checked.) Everything else is digital LieMAX bullshit.
Hell, most people who aren’t tech-minded don’t even know what the hell I’m talking about. Very few people have the opportunity to see a real IMAX film, and even fewer would appreciate the benefits of 70mm film over a digital 4K projection (or 2K if it’s an older theater, which is literally 1080p). That’s the main thing I’m upset about, that there’s almost nowhere left to see a real 70mm projection (and none of the remaining locations are anywhere near me), all because theaters want to save a little bit of money by replacing their projectors with cheap digital garbage with an inferior resolution.

Next you’re going to tell me that you let her put up with ads on her PC because you don’t want to touch her computer to install an adblocker. You’re married, dude; there’s nothing wrong with using her stuff if you’re doing it to help solve a problem.

Psythik@lemm.eeto techsupport@lemmy.world•How do I stop my partner from taking over every Bluetooth connection?17·1 day agoThe developer options are extremely useful; don’t be afraid of them.
The very first thing I do when I get a new phone is enable them and then change the animation duration to 0.5x for everything. Makes the device feel so much more responsive.
Second thing I do is set smallest/minimum width to a higher number. Fixes the number one complaint I have with modern phones where everything is blown up way too large, even with the smallest font setting. It’s especially annoying when you get a phone with a larger screen, only to find that it increases the size of everything proportionally with the size of the screen. That’s not how it should work. I’m 35, not 65; I don’t need everything to be massive. I paid for that extra screen real estate, and god damnit I’m going to use it.
Bullshit you can’t. The GF and I make a mere $42/hr combined before tax and we are homeowners.
How are you fucking up so badly, that you can’t save up enough for a down payment on a $300-400k home at $90/hr? I make less than a quarter of what you make. Where is all that money going?
