Commenting because I’d love to know the same.
I’m willing to accept that my worldview could change a lot in the near future but that’s…a lot.
That’s my feeling about a lot of this stuff. I can accept a lot, but there’s so much that’s just so far beyond what I would have ever considered even possible being mentioned out there. Even Grusch mentioned the possibility of some kind of interdimensional beings.
That kind of thing is gonna be real hard to swallow without a huge glass of crystal clear water to go with it
Yeah, at my company we switched to allow/block listed last year. Whitelisted and blacklisted are verboten
Had GPT summarize what happened.
The “left pad” incident refers to a controversy that arose in 2016 when a developer named Azer Koçulu removed his JavaScript package called “left-pad” from the NPM (Node Package Manager) registry. This caused a ripple effect, breaking numerous projects that relied on this package and highlighting the potential risks of relying on external dependencies. The incident sparked a debate about the stability and trustworthiness of the open-source ecosystem and led to discussions about best practices for managing dependencies in software development.
My town has been doing the same and there’s even a program where they will come rip out your lawn and replace it with some kind of wood chip stuff. The town’s main water supply is a lake just downhill from our little mountain so they take it pretty seriously. I hate lawn care so I’ve considered it, but haven’t actually taken action on it yet. But I just might. I hate hate hate mowing.
Oh man, that’s reaaal pretty. I love it.
