I agree with the other commenter, this is a great answer.
As far as I know, all so far proposed models that eliminate dark matter have other problems that are greater than"just" adding invisible mass. Would be cool though to just activate gravity without the need for mass.
I live in Germany and where I live at least once a weak a WWII bomb is found and defused. Rarely they have to be exploded in a controlled way and even more rarely they explode on their own. For me these findings are a normal annoyance when train lines or streets are blocked because of defusal.
