I do use a Mac and I hate it… It’s a birthday gift from my family, because owning a Mac makes the “man”…

Uuhg, I always need to learn things twice… First how it works on Linux and than how to reproduce the same on Mac…

There are to many shitty workarounds that do not behave the same way Linux does even though it’s UNIX based.

    • .plist files comes to mind
    • how to make a samba share mount on boot/access
    • Default’s to zsh
    • Shitty default terminal and dumb keyboard shortcuts…
    • Default applications are useless… (Thanks homebrew 👏)

I fucking hate it… And after 4 years of intense use I still do not understand why people would willingly buy something like that closed crap ecosystem. Maybe just a hipster thing…

There are already alot of good comments so I will emphasize on something that hasn’t been already said.

Nature is full of wonders, It won’t be a one time miracle help, however you can always use some complementary assistance from a GOOD herbalist which will advise you specific herbs in a variety of forms (tea, essential oils, infusion…) to relax and maybe reduce some symptoms over time?

I heard sage tea is very feminine and good for everything related to menopause. I’m no expert so don’t take it for granted.

While it won’t solve or heal your partner’s health directly, it could be a good complementary to any help session. Nice and warm infusion, bath with scented EO, massage with a room filled with EO diffusion… There’s a lot you can do with natures help :)

That’s your point of view. And I won’t give you any counter-arguments… I’m not even religious by any mean, but showing some respect is the minimum due to every living being on earth.

Sure I put my own vision to other family members, but In most people believe system being thrown away like trash is not the way you want to be remembered of.

Putting them in the trash is just as acceptable as throwing out that 2 month old cooked beef

I do not eat any meat but I won’t push that specific regime to anyone, because that’s not how it works. However, I’m not sure this comparison is right… You wouldn’t eat your cat/dog, pet bird, bunny?

Maybe I’m alone on this, but my family used to put dead birds, squirrels,… found on our terrain in the trash… I really got furious and said that those were living beings and they deserve proper burial even if it’s some random animal found in the backyard…

The only way to make them understand what It means was to say: “Don’t worry, I will also put your dead body in a trash bin”.

  • I have a self-hosted Baikal server with self-signed CA on Android 14 and it works.

However, I didn’t had to add the certificate to Davx⁵ itself. Adding a rootCA into your device and your reverse proxy handling the request should work as expected over https.

Those kind of things are difficult to troubleshoot, this could be:

    • Bad rootCA certificate, missing the necessary options ?
    • Wrong certificate handled by your reverse proxy ?
    • Radicale doesn’t recognize your certificate extension ?
    • Wrong networking configuration ?
    • Bug ?

We need more infos about your setup:

    • Do you use a reverse proxy ?
    • Had you already any success with this certificate within an other application ?
    • Any logs from your Android, Davx⁵?
