The whole “To the Moon” series.
The whole “To the Moon” series.
For huge countries as like the US: Maybe. You have enough space to also store the trash somewhere for thousands of years.
For small countries, like most of Europe, where the population density is way higher: hard pass.
People also seem to be forgetting that there are a lot of crazy dictators with bombs right now.
Likely only compared to the industrialisation era:

Non accusatory, mostly. I would just straight up ask, how he got the money (and make sure that he doesn’t commit tax evasion by accident). He would have the option to not tell me of course.
I prefer this to “sharing the undies with the faculty”.
They surely learnt from that. Now there won’t be an auction house and mail so close together, so players have at least one reason to be in the city. Oh wait, nevermind, they are already selling that for the price of 1,5x AAA game.
More likely every recipient gets their own address. An easy way to track who to send more of these mails to.
Every mod id ever played has been free.
If you’ve actively played Gmod in a multiplayer setting and you weren’t the server admin: i doubt that. Gmod has a still thriving paid modding community, mostly for extensions for Pointshops, TTT content or other game modifiers. It maybe was free to you though ;)
Sure, me too. That’s why…
But then I may have to live longer…
It is mostly about feeling safe with my chosen family and being able to actually plan a life. As of now I see basically no point in planning any part of my future as it feels as if any plan I could make could be disrupted at any moment.
I know this is a hard ask, since no one can see into the future. It is essentially a question that should not exist. Where do I go and can actually live 50-60 years without the fear of getting killed by an angry mob at some point? Where do I go where this question is not part of the equation?
Ideally that country also should still exist, as climate change will swallow some countries as well.
I am from Germany as well. And I agree right now it is okay. But we are on a downwards trend (just this week a queer bar has been set ablaze). And when I look towards the next election I fear that this downward trend could go get even worse.
They don’t blame young people. They blame lack of education.
Sounds good to me, tbh. Increasing health for everyone involved, reducing costs on medical services. I think New Zealand had something similiar? Instead of an outright ban affecting everyone this is slowly phased out, so young kids probably won’t even miss it.
For VW a lot of it is management failure. Instead of investing more into EVs and creating a car for the masses they held onto non-EVs mostly and then are surprised when cheaper vars (often from China) sell more.
Additionally VW had a dividend payout of 4,5 billion euro earlier this year (something that is not mandatory) … and then noticed a couple of months later that they are missing 5 billion euro in their budget, leading to the news above.
But Syncthing Fork is not shut down and is still maintained (never used the main version tbh).

I’ve used Joplin before which was okay-ish (but borked the e2e encryption during an update).
Now I would recommend Silverbullet if you are really keen on self hosting a notes app.
But the notes that work best for me is simply Obsidian + Syncthing-Fork (you could self host a syncthing server), thanks to its sheer ability to adapt to nearly any use case thanks to its plugin.
Somewhere i read that non compliance could land you in jail. If I was a maintainer, i am not sure if I would like to go to jail for OSS.
The decentralisation of Bluesky is a joke.
