Small correction - Steve Huffman is u/spez, he’s the current CEO. Alexis Ohanian was one of the co-founders and was on the board of directors for a while but I don’t think he’s involved with Reddit any more except probably as an investor.
Dude probably gets tons of farm subsidies from the government, too. But that doesn’t count as “welfare” because the people who get welfare are “urban”.

This also explains why the EU will never rival the US (TLDR: EU member states are not able to control their individual monetary policies).

Too true, sadly. Much as I loathe Reagan, at least he was opposed to Russia. Can’t say that about the current “Party of Reagan”.
History has shown that the best way to reduce a deficit is to elect a Dem president and the best way to increase the deficit is to elect a Rep president. Somehow that message doesn’t sink in with the voting public.
