They were absolute bellends when I tried to get it sorted to transfer the money to another bank as well, sat there insisting my “phone had been hacked/had a virus” and only actually moved my bloody money after I threatened a official complaint.

Lloyds? they’re closing my local branch as well really need to go in and close the accounts tbh.

Surely that falls afoul of some sort of equality legislation/disability legislation?

Set up a system where you need to have

A: An account here over a certain age

B: A reasonably high bar of activity where it can be ascertained if the account is acting in good faith.

Imo the reasoning for doing this is a noble one but its very very open to being exploited unfortunately.
