  • Yeah I tried listening to them in an effort to find some interesting current bands and I didn’t like what I heard either. Actually I can’t even describe them lol it was that unmemorable…

To be fair, I’ve been a bit bored with music lately. I can’t help this sense like everything’s too rehashed, repetitive, I heard it before, I can predict the next few bars, the “original” was better, etc. etc. Idk if there’s something wrong with me lol. Maybe I’ve become old and out of touch😅

  • Yeah I like Nathan Fillion and I thought Firefly was pretty good, but I didn’t get the internet hype lol. I didn’t connect as much with the characters and space setting. It’s like Buffy but for boys?? I mean I enjoyed the Whedon writing but was missing all the hotties, the whole high-school-is-hell (being a young adult is hell too!), the supernatural universe, the 90s/Y2K fashion. And of course the lovely Sarah Michelle Gellar😆

  • One version of this painting was said to have been exhibited with the Alfred, Lord Tennyson poem titled “Break, Break, Break,” expressing themes of loss and loneliness after the death of a friend.

I couldn’t verify this, but the poem is beautiful to read side by side nonetheless:

    Break, break, break,
On thy cold gray stones, O sea!
And I would that my tongue could utter
The thoughts that arise in me.

O, well for the fisherman's boy,
That he shouts with his sister at play!
O, well for the sailor lad,
That he sings in his boat on the bay!

And the stately ships go on
        To their haven under the hill;
But O for the touch of a vanished hand,
And the sound of a voice that is still!

    Break, break, break,
At the foot of thy crags, O sea!
But the tender grace of a day that is dead
Will never come back to me.
