See my other comment. Besides, it’s a general question. Why does everyone suddenly care about what, maybe 1% of the population is doing?
My anger is more in how fucking gullible we collectively appear to be, not necessarily at this guy in particular, but I’ve gotten so tired of these “just asking questions” types at my job etc. They waste your time and energy, maybe you get them to consider your point before being easily swept back into the other side of whether it’s ok to wear a dress if you’re a boy.
Good grief man, look at your own response to this seemingly obvious problem.
I certainly don’t. My best friend transitioned and you’re damn right I was with them all the way.
But what we shouldn’t do is make baseless claims and then fail to back it up with evidence. It convinces nobody. All the original poster is looking for is evidence. Any one of thousands of news articles or direct quotes would be enough.
At what point is it our collective responsibility to guide recalcitrant people to some fairly self-evident truths? It’s a real life denial of service, having to spend a lot of energy discussing and convincing someone of something reasonably trivial to find; we put a lot more energy out than they do in discussions, the whole while attempting to be compassionate, and that’s very exploitable.
To anyone out there: consider that trans/gay/straight and all other dimensions of human are still on team human. Let’s act like it.
Its a shame you get downvoted for asking questions. I (mostly) agree with the answers you are getting, but asking for a source should be a good thing
Sigh.
what is all this?? When did we start questioning people’s right to exist??
“Asking for a source” =/= “disagreeing with you”
Jesus dude calm the fuck down, the guy was not questioning anyone’s right to exist. He was just asking for a source. Fuck.

So you’re just projecting. You’re angry at these other people and you’re taking it out on this dude.
You could just not respond. This doesn’t sound healthy.
You know what man, I’m just going to say I’m wrong and check out of this conversation. Hooray.
